What an excellent chance this would have been to bring back George, just what if he hadnt died...Or is that to far back for Shonda Rimes? Maybe the point in all of the characters lives there building from happend after George died? And besides Meredith would have died withouth Shepherd (if he had choosen his wife instead of her) or he would have died withouth Meredith since she saved him during the shooting (somewhat), or M would have just been with Finn the vet.

@gigi1bokus Normally i would say Christina should still be with Burke for this episode but bringing back Isaiah Washington obviously wouldnt work since he would never agree it to without at least raising a fuss and/or calling Sarah Ramirez and Jessica Capshaw some names (I believe Isaiah may have a narcissistic personality dissorder, not just because of the incident per see but because of his personality traits)...She is just going to have to be with Owen and cheating on him with Jackson.
