  • Will It Blend?

  • Hope he dies YNC YNC

  • The guy lived.

He didn't even suffer any serious injuries.

I worked on the flight deck of the Bon Homme Richard (CVA-31).

I watched a guy walk into the starboard prop of an E2 Hawkeye.

We had to walk the deck with paper cups to get the 12 lbs of him that was shreaded. (I think that was what it weighed when we got it all collected).

His legs an upper body came away in 2 or 3 pieces but the head and arms were spread out over 1100 sq ft..

You could smell that shit for days.

  • omg that guy warped when he got sucked in !REALLY !

  • nom, hmmm delicious human

  • luckily the engine clogged from the stream of feces before him.. lol

  • FUCK!!

  • did he died?

  • @ugibomb no he lived

  • i remeber this also i was there and saw it also.

  • that would SUCK

  • @sundevilfan22820 Don't know much about how jet engines work, do you??

  • I was there. He wasn't working on the plane. He was checking the launch bar. It was the Theodore Roosevelt 1991. We were in the Red Sea. It was my squadron's aircraft.

  • @26003brads My uncle was on the Roosevelt in 1991 too. I'll have to ask him about this.

  • hahaha yeah everyone who says its fake obviously isnt in the military. the A-6 or in the navy EA-6B prowler has a minimum of 25 ft danger zone in front of the intake. His CRANIAL, not helmet, is what did the saving.

  • @tvistriggerhapy Im in the USAF the F15 and the A10 also have 25ft minimum safe distances

  • totally happened. I was on deck a hundred feet away starting up my own A6 when this one pulled to the catapult. Remember thinking "When did Imtruders get afterburners?" because all his stuff caused the engine to flame out. lit everything up.

  • @sundevilfan22820 it happened the reason he lived was that his helmet was sucked in first jammed the engines and fucked things up he was interviewed about it and he said it was all his fault because he was checking what a trainee had done to make sure it was right and forgot to crouch down.

  • tard factor is pretty high here. what happens to a turning jet engine spinning at tens of thousands of revolutions per minute when it eats anything with mass? catastrophic failure. they blow apart and puke their guts out. his gear saved him because it got ate before he hit the blender. it dont matter what type of jet engine it is. if it dont suffer catastrophic failure b4 your body hits it your done. game over. the rapid acceleration/film rate of camera gives the illusion of the guy stretching.

  • You are all stupid; I have seen a person "sucked in" on a f-14 tomcat. I served in the USN. Those of you who say fake have never served, or have never been around jet engines, the power of the intakes is unreal! Toe to Ass will mean something to you who have been around them.

  • @sundevilfan22820 real it actually happened

  • The helmet at his head probably saved him, these engines stop automatically if gets damage, and helmet damaged and slowed the fans before he was chopped.Nice vid!

  • HAHA BULLSHIT

  • cant imagine what would happen if he was sucked into a turbofan engine...

  • only a few minor injuries...

Head bandages arm bandages sling bandaged hand

that doesnt seem to be minor

  • @linkmaster561 He's looking alert and sitting up under his own power a few hours after getting sucked into an engine, they're minor.

  • Why did he had to stand there anyway?

  • I had a similar situation with one of my Marines in Iwakuni in 1980. He got sucked in, and his ear protectors were sucked off his head. The compressor stall kicked him back out the intake.

Amazingly, all he got was a couple scratches and some short term hearing loss.

We found pieces of the engine over 100 yards away on the flight line.

  • This was my squadron it was va-65 I was standing there when this happened it totally freaked me out when he crawled out there was blood all in the intake.

  • Haha love the straw sucking sound

  • How the f*ck did he survive that??

  • @3ckanZ i saw this documentary before, if im not wrong. His harness got caught at the entrance of the intake, preventing him from ending up at the other side of the turbofan.

  • @ashermamen234 no shit he calls it a tomcrap cause its a piece of shit

  • Comment removed

  • and how many super sharp blades r there in jet engines?

  • i wish i had that kind of luck...

  • Whoa.That's not nice. Geez

  • 0:06 OWWW that outta hurt

  • What a fake... he survived..lol...

  • Not a fake, I was on the ship when it happened, the USS Theodore Roosevelt. We were actually watching the flight deck cams when it happened. We were amazed when he crawled out. A sight I'll never forget.

PS...To you Tomcat Haters--KMA--It leaked fuel and from what I heard it was hard to keep flying, but it was a great fighter. Loved to see that thing take off from the carrier especially at night.

  • what was this show called when this was posted? They had dangerous deadly accidents

  • This was on 1000 ways to die.

    And its NOT FAKE.

  • Not fake.

There's a large cone inside the intake, the PC probably got lodged in there as his cranial or part of his vest fouled the engine. There are also cross braces that connect the cone to the frame.

    EA6B is a Prowler,

A6 (now retired) is an Intruder. That is an A6 Intruder, as there is no large radome on top of the tail.

  • fake and gay

  • But really we're no better... It's only a matter of time before more and more things are covered up. Look at that fuckwit releasing confidential intel...

Unfortunately, he's an Aussie and is doing no-one any favours. I just wanted to post this to let you know that people with half a brain, regardless of their origin have every right to their opinion. For me, I used to work for GE in turbine R&D. From that experience, looking at the vid, IMO the internal safety systems shut the turbine down.

  • Ta frustrate. Thanking you for the engine no.

To all the US guys who think this is a cover up, I cannot blame you. It was only last year I got up to speed with the complete JFK era, Robert & MLK. After that, Watergate how can anyone trust anything about what goes on in the military. At present, Australia's track record is okay. But I must make this clear; apart from our indigenous people, Australia is a very young Country, first being populated in 1788. And we only have 22.6 mill population.

  • No way could he have lived.

  • Lived?!?!?! One of his Techie mates must have been awesum at jigsaw puzzles

  • @bigbadboydy His helmet stopped the rotor blades in the jet engine.

  • Get Fucked that guy lived, he just got sucked into a jet engine.

  • Helmet saved his life...stopped the intake fans from cutting his head into cole slaw. And yes, it IS an A-6.

  • Hey Maddvid1996 and 71; Can you help me? I can't whether it's the x-B or not, but do either of you know exactly which engine it had in it. Or at least, an educated guess. I'm guessing it's the P&W that was also used commercially. The reason I ask is I want to identify the internal safety systems of the turbine as there is a whole heap of shite! through this, but I'd rather back up my opinion with some hard facts... CHeers

  • @jamesdstudent The A-6 used two Pratt & Witney J52P-6. Is this what you question? sorry if not is that, my english is not good.

  • Dear 5 cents,

The engine has many internal safety systems that automatically kick in. In this case the engine shut itself down. Which safety system exactly? Don't know. The engine was most likely a P&W but without knowing what block it was, don't know the systems it had. You think a human could seriously react that quickly? Nope. There is heaps of info on this topic. You should have a read it's pretty amazing what's inside.

If you're not 100% certain what happen, perhaps say something like "I

  • men, look like elastic or a dummy when is sucking that man

  • Stan, already covered that one in the thread but good to know you know there myriad internal safety systems inside turbines.

Another safety feature of all modern turbines is that the have about 100 electromagnets in critical areas that will - obviously - grab anything metal that is floating within the system. Immediate warning in the cockpit so they can shut the engine down or if in a dogfight their odds of winning just dropped a bit!

  • Fake sound effects do not help

  • Not a A-6 its a EA6B Prowler!

  • @71NAVY ...really. sound it out. e(A-6)b... notice the a-6?

  • he lives????? HOW????

  • @dreamspacelion

From the way his body was sucked in, he became wedged next to the cone in the inlet of the J-52 engine without reaching the fan blades. His helmet and jacket were sucked off and damaged/destroyed the engine (FOD damage) and the pilot quickly shut it down.

  • @dreamspacelion his helmat comes off and the fans are shattered before he gets to them

  • He lived because his helmet/headgear came off first and shutdown the turbine as he was wedged into the engines intake. He was ALWAYS being scolded from for it being too loose... well maybe he figured out something that will save another life.

  • @1StanTheMan1 Thanks for the explanation! I thought he went all the way through the engine with an immense acceleration, popped out from the rear along with that huge splash of fire, and lived _after_ that :) It would have blown my head up, if I was thinking about it for too long.

  • Well I guess this guy knows the inner workings of that engine! lol

  • i work with this guy we were just talking about this yesterday and he still doesnt know why he did what he did

  • Touche' Scouce.

"The Tomcat was a piece of crap" ????? Who said that earlier?

Yeah, a piece of crap for sure; Maiden flight in 1963, operational 4 years later. Multi role combat/long range payload deliverance. One of the most powerful radar systems ever. The most retro fitted airframe in history. It had to wear out after a very impressive 39 yo operational record. Crap crappy

I bet it did't even suck anyone up so the carrier crew could have some spaghetti Italiania!

  • Geopath, there is no way you worked for RR!!! RR do a heap of military work and you would know backwards the safety specs for Naval turbine blocks!!!

Please, continue to educate us with your knowledge of turbines. I must know more!

  • I love it when two fools exchange verbal trash !! Absolute comedy! He survived because his helmet got ripped off his head and through the cage. These turbines ( in this case I'm pretty sure it's a P&W that also has a commercial iteration) can detect bad things ( like helmets or parts thereof ) and shut down to save the plane. In this case that is what saved the cap P Officer. Still one in a mill.

Blend it up lads so I can keep amused!

  • Most learnED people know that high speed fans like those cannot shut down AND cease to spin in time spans of ONLY a fraction of a second.

  • Will it blend? That is the question!

  • fast way to produce mince.

  • That sucks.. Bad

  • thats how Chuck Norris gets a massage.

  • I hate it when that happens.

  • lol@the sound effects when he goes in...he looks spaghettified like when you cross the event horizon of the black hole

  • My girlfriend did that to me last night.

  • @winterka100 ohhhhhh noob

  • The man with the SHITTIEST shorts in the Navy. Glad to see he lived. Most people don't live to talk about that. Make him 1% of 99% who lived to talk about it.

  • I used to work for Rolls-Royce Deutschland Ltd & Co KG, we made jet engines for the military and commercial planes. I am telling you there is no way on this planet anyone could survive that let alone with 'minor' injuries. My guess 'military' cover-up. Next time you go to an airshow or see a jet engine take a look in one, and you will see where I'm coming from

  • @GEOPAIH1234 obviously he didnt get sucked up all the way, he got stuck in the intake duct and it was his helmet etc that u see get ejected. this would be more obvious if the video wasnt clipped, but u should have known better.

impossible to survive getting ingested into engine.

    man survives.

therefore man DID NOT get ingested

    simple logic

  • @woodenclock2 People stated here there is a 'mesh' to stop any large objects entering the engine, however this is not correct. I still find it hard to believe that anyone could get 'stuck' or even 'hang on' as stated in another video inside the air intake ducts, the force that they pull is phenomenal . You could put a cow next to one of these things and it could get sucked through. If indeed the reports are correct that he survived he is one lucky man right there.

  • @GEOPAIH1234

u need a fundamental tune up

i.e. do u think a 2 square foot object needs a "mesh" to stop it from passing through a 1 square foot opening?

did u not play with the "fit the shape through the hole" game in pre-school?

  • @woodenclock2 I never stated there was a mesh! Merely said there wasn't. As for larger objects getting in through a smaller hole you saying thats impossible huh? Well I guess you have never seen the egg and the heated bottle then have you. OF course bloody larger objects can go through a smaller hole. Now who needs the tune up. Dick

  • Can you believe this video and this story! I can't believe the guy actually survived! God was surely looking out for him that day!!!!

  • shyyyt lmao .....plane spit him back out wtf?

  • wow!

  • I bet his butt hole is still puckered

  • @mizikal roflro

  • I wish it had sound and color. buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!!!

  • God you retards. It's not fake.

  • Afy777 on the aircraft carrier there is a rule always kneel and he was a trainee so must of forgotten and there is foreign alarms when something goes in the engine and there is guard stoping that kid from being cleaned up by a mop....... Hope this clears up

  • i once dated a girl that was just like this

  • @TheHer0Live she either ate everything in site or gave awesome head then

  • LOL, He became flexible after that...

  • seriously, the guy lived? Holy Shit.

  • those navy guys really got it all together.. *snicker*

  • @TracyAndersonFoxhunt Working the deck of an aircraft carrier is the single deadliest work place, ever. Deadliest Catch? No. 2.

  • @CavZippo congrats. we're more organizied in the Air Force

  • @TracyAndersonFoxhunt I'm in the Army. But let us be honest here. Take all flight-line ops and shove them into a space measuring 333m x 77m. Including your take-off & landing ops. Specifically though, try performing all aircraft maintenance/refueling/re-arming actions in an area half the size of one of your stalls. When you're tripping over fuel lines, or apu's, ordnance racks, tool carts, and the personnel all doing their own tasks in the same area, then try to brag.

  • @CavZippo well, i like the Army better than the fucking navy, but i suspect you'd see my point if you could get your head out long enough...

  • i wonder why plane manufacturers doesn't put some kind of safety grills on the jet intakes to prevent this kind of accidents from happening? just putting warning labels like "DANGER JET INTAKE" doesn't solve the problem and someone might not be lucky the next time..

  • @afy777

Um? because it fucks up the performance maybe that's why you retarded dumb ass.

  • @mecher3k No need to be an idiot

  • @afy777 if something was to get stuck on the grill, the suction would keep it pressed against the grill with such force, that it would block the intake. or get sucked in defeating the purpose.

  • Human Smoke, don't breathe this.

  • WHAT THE FUCK

  • This happened alot with the F-14.

  • @Tomcatsux4ever Actually the Fail-14 Tomcrap's engines were so powerful, that it blew up every time going super sonic! LOL

  • @TomcatSucks4ever2 i feel sorry for you replying to your own comment or have you got a split personality FREAK!!!!

  • @TomcatSucks4ever2 dude the F-14 went supersonic regularly. maybe im missing something.

  • Comment removed

  • @TomcatSucks4ever2 If it blew up EVERY time it broke the sound barrier, Grumman would not have produced it. It's quite an important issue, after all...

  • @Tomcatsux4ever You talkin to yourself bro?

  • @Tomcatsux4ever Go to hell you communist piece of shit punk troll!!!!!

  • @Tomcatsux4ever The United States or Britain should dump garbage scums like you by parchute into North Korea or Iran where you belong to live. Scum garbage like you should have your ass kick the hell right out of the United States on a one way trip to Russia,Iran, and North Korea!

  • some people will do ANYthing to fly for free

  • Hahaha!! He lived!!! AWESOME!

  • That'll teachm :p

  • w w w DOTbestgoreDOTcom/bloody-injuries/airplane-mechanic-sucked-into-jet-engine-el-paso-airport-photos/

    this guy wasnt so lucky

  • would be fucked up if he didn't got stuck

  • Yep it was just on Discovery channel, the guy survived, the helmet blowed up the engine...

  • Omnomnom

  • the real reason he lived was his helmet basicly slowed it down letting him escape

  • I just cant believe he survived, I'd have to see it to believe it!!!

  • Not "incredibly," but Miraculously.

  • lol!

  • isnt their like blades in the engine ? how the fuck dint he die ?!

  • There was some kind of instrument probe or something sticking out in the intake and it hooked onto something he was wearing. Think his head gear and shreds of clothing came out through the engine.

  • Many engines have first stage blades that do not rotate. They help smooth out the airflow prior to the first set of rotating blades. Parts of this guy's flashlight and helmut did go past the first set of blades and caused the flashes you see. The pilot's quick actions to shutdown the engine also helped save this man's life.

  • Luckily, this type of turbine engine has a relatively long manifold intake with a bend ahead of the turbine blades. The man stucked in the bend while the engine stalled immediately lacking of air supply thus the vacuum got decreased. So he could survive.

  • i saw that on 1000 ways to die

  • Sailor inhaler.

  • Super Lucky !

  • @GerbilEssences Fucking lol'd

  • Wouldnt have been so 'Amazing!' if the bloke had actually died!

  • duh

  • ha ha! owned!

  • wudda been better if guts and organs flew every where

  • the guy did survive miracously . . .

  • poor yannk

  • OF the 3 guys at the end, which one got sucked in?

  • the unlucky one

  • the one at the left (with the bandages one!!)

  • F**k man !OUCH!

  • Naaaaah. Bull shit!

It didn't happen or he's dead.

  • Changed my mind.

It did happen only he did not go through the engine. His helmet goggles and vest went through but he got wedged in the intake until the pilot shut it down.

    Lucky dude.

    UbuntoO

  • what a lucky basterd

  • Comment removed

  • The guy did survive...but geez I cant imagine how unbelievably scary that would have been...Im sure it was so fast he didnt even notice at the time what had just happened..

  • fake ! youtube doesn't exist !

  • his helmet flew off his head and jammed the engines

  • This guy's job SUCKS!!!!!

    Nyuk,nyuk

    AHAHaahahahhah!!!

  • Theres a grill inside to catch large objects like a man lol

  • Yepp, the guy survive this.

  • he was sucked in but something fell of him went in it blew it up before the man would be shredded by the engine

  • Fake! You can't survive this

  • you can, theres no blades in that engyne, and he arrived in court or something the next week.

  • of course there are blades in it! I wonder about people like you who are stupid enough to believe in such faking videos!

  • I dont think the bit with him getting sucked in is fake, but i doubt that he survived

  • Look the video"Guy Gets Sucked into engine" by LITHDAD in related videos.

  • My late uncle Gordon lost a buddy on a carrier in WW2- the guy accidentally backed into a propeller- instant mincemeat! What was worse was he had to clean the mess off the plane.

  • you're a fvck|ng moron. this isn't fake. this video is one of the only real ones out there you dumb fvck.

  • its not fake dumbass. u think engines cant do that? lol

  • damn...

  • how the hell do you survive that

  • I was on the ship with this guy. This happened during desert storm in Jan of 90 or 91 whatever year we launched the attack. I saw him a few days after it happened on the mess deck. He was a caucasian but his upper body was such a deep purple he almost looked black. I asked him about it and he said the suction pulled all of the blood up into his skin he essentially had an upper body hickey. He said he had less than 90 days left in the Navy at that point and his head was not on board.

  • how was being in the airforce im guessing im joining the marines but sometimes people go through the same casualties and difficulties hoorah!!!

  • It was the Navy. As I say to most people I am glad I did it but would never do it again. Got to see the world and get paid it was a great experience. Right before I got out I was single and getting paid $35K/year and only had to buy toothpaste, soap and shampoo with it. The guy that got sucked in was Navy too. As a general rule it is only Navy personnel that work on US Navy ships. We did have about 80 to 100 Marines on board as security. Good luck & God bless in the Marines.

  • hoorah

  • LOL, i've seen this on "1000 Ways to Die"

  • ok for the record he didnt get sucked from the engine, his cranial(its not a helmet in the navy) got sucked in the engine and thats what cause the fire ball out the tail pipe of the jet, if anyone knew how a jet engine works you would know that if for some reason he got past the compressor theres no way he could pass through the 6 tubes after that used to fire the compressed fuel/air, believe me, i had a buddy in that squadron on that cruise, jus for the record
