We have an abundance of natural gas in this country and not imported. The technology has been around, buses, and mass transits are using it. A conversion for our vehicles are fairly inexpensive. A wonderful solution is to have the government subsidized the flex-fuel conversion while we work towards conservation, cleaner energy, and stimulate our economy. Natural gas are cheaper than gasoline. A tremendous amount of life and resources were invested for the benefit of the very few, unconscionable.
I think this is a great idea. I noticed natural gas for transportation is part of the Pickens plan. We need to encourage this conversion for many more vehicles somehow, someway. Let's get serious and use an all of the above policy to reduce our dependence on energy from foreign sources.

Regarding Iraq: Neither you or I have access to the intelligence on the ground, and cannot know what the best move forward is. It's simplistic to assume that it's just an EITHER/OR decision, like, EITHER we stay, OR we leave.

Just to reply... I tried to post a anti-obama comment on a couple of videos hosted by obamas channel. They had no swearing and were actually sort of reasonable arguments. They weren't allowed to be posted. It said "waiting for comment to be checked" or something and was never allowed to be posted. I guess Obama's camp hates free speech or something. Go check for yourself. I haven't been able to find one negative comment on any Obama sponsored videos.
McCain's prescription for our country's ills sounds eerily familiar. Cut taxes enough, and the economy will grow like gangbusters and total taxes collected will go up. Combine that with massive cuts in government programs, and government deficits will go away.
Oh, unless there happens to be a war going on, in which case we'll pretend that war spending isn't part of our actual budget. Where have I heard that before?
So what we have to do, is vote for McCain, who will basically be unable to do anything against the democrat majority, and basically freeze politics for 4-8 years until an actually good/decent politician can truly win teh election.

We have an abundance of natural gas in this country and not imported. The technology has been around, buses, and mass transits are using it. A conversion for our vehicles are fairly inexpensive. A wonderful solution is to have the government subsidized the flex-fuel conversion while we work towards conservation, cleaner energy, and stimulate our economy. Natural gas are cheaper than gasoline. A tremendous amount of life and resources were invested for the benefit of the very few, unconscionable.

I think this is a great idea. I noticed natural gas for transportation is part of the Pickens plan. We need to encourage this conversion for many more vehicles somehow, someway. Let's get serious and use an all of the above policy to reduce our dependence on energy from foreign sources.

As long as the technology exists to create nuclear energy, people in the next generation will want that energy. I would be willing to put a nuclear power plant in my own back yard if it would make America energy independent with this clean burning fuel.

Bush's own Energy Policy advisor said we would not see a drop of oil from offshore drilling in ten years, and that even then, the effect on price would be INSIGNIFICANT.
McCain himself admits that the benefits of offshore drilling wouldn't be practical, but PSHYCOLOGICAL.

He admitted that offshore drilling and a gas tax holiday (both centerpieces of his plan) would have PSYCHOLOGICAL benefits, not practical ones. His top economic adviser said this is a mental recession, not a real one, so clearly they do not intend to do anything to fix it, since they don' believe there is a problem.

Just to reply... I tried to post a anti-obama comment on a couple of videos hosted by obamas channel. They had no swearing and were actually sort of reasonable arguments. They weren't allowed to be posted. It said "waiting for comment to be checked" or something and was never allowed to be posted. I guess Obama's camp hates free speech or something. Go check for yourself. I haven't been able to find one negative comment on any Obama sponsored videos.

McCain's prescription for our country's ills sounds eerily familiar. Cut taxes enough, and the economy will grow like gangbusters and total taxes collected will go up. Combine that with massive cuts in government programs, and government deficits will go away.
