  • John Amos is NOT dead!

  • WHY DID THEY STOP!! WHHHHYYYYYY!!!! NO NO NO

  • That was a good series. What alot of people don't realise is that both Esther Rolle (Florida) and John Amos (James) constantly battled with the writers/produces to improve the role of some of the characters in the series such as that of JJ, the eldest son. Sadly both Esther and John have passed away. Bern'adette is doing well and Ralph Carter (Michael) is living in NJ with his domestic partner Edgar.

  • I wish James would have been mentioned in this episode, at least once..he would have been so proud of his family, to finally move out of the ghetto, he would have had his, have mercy slogans.

  • I love this video. It is so clever, innovative, and creative. Good job.

  • 1979?! The year I was born. Sheesh! Just when you think you're getting old, you realize how young you are. I feel so familiar with this show, yet I wasn't even alive during the entire run of this show.

  • JJ is so funny

JJ- yeah and if it's a girl were gonna be aunts.

JJ u would be a uncle even if I was a girl

  • @cgillardGQ Agreed. But Ralph Carter ( "Michael") is a bit too pretentious for me.

  • this is the best show ever, i wasnt even born when it was airing. but i respect it and the people who were in it. its just such a genuine and funny show<3 i always look foward to watching the re-runs (: lol

  • I've already like watching good times, that was my favorite show when I would come home from school. You have to admit this was in the the last 70's. I was in high school at the time, but I always watched this show. now that I see michael carter and bernadette stanis, I still see them as they were on tv and I would never forget it. also J.J. dynomite? You go boy!!!! And estelle rolle, she was a great actress.

  • wth is tht Niko Bellic

  • Ben Powers is currently battling cancer. He is in bad shape.

  • omg are you serious?!?!?!? omg noooo

  • i heard a few years ago that he was ill but i was hoping he was ok now..he was great and still much loved !

  • I wonder what happened to Ben Powers, the actor who played Thelma's husband.

  • My man Ralph. It's good seeing him. I remember seeing Ms. Esther Rolle at a celebration that was being held at Lemert Park on Crenshaw some years ago before she passed. She was a very nice woman, she hugged and shooked everybody's hand.
