Sounds like you tried to record it without doing a direct audio hookup. Huh, why? If you can hook the camera to the computer, why not the old VCR audio to the computer?
I need to know where I can get all 16 episodes of season 1 for Powerhouse? I am 38 going on 39 and, I remember this show well. This is one PBS show other then Reading Rainbow and 3-2-1 Contact that I loved a lot. This brings back awesome memories. Please let me know this info.
@The2009Ryuk I'm 36,and watched lots of The Electric Company, Powerhouse, Sesame Street, and mr. Rogers. My fave 3-2-1 Contact was when KISS was on there in around '79 and I overcame my fear of Gene Simmons @ 4 y.o. Mom and dad loved KISS, and I did too after he was on PBS. I was smart for my age, and decided if the network that showed Fred Rogers would show Gene, then he couldn't be that bad! I miss the 70's & 80's!!!
I did alot of this kind of thign as a kid as well.somewhere I have an old Laugh in with Davy Jones(Monkees) and Judy something(from Laugh in?) singing "Hello Love and Marrage" and they pronounce the state of Michigan (Mitch'i'Gan)
This was an awesome unforgettable show- along with Zoom - and the afterschool specials- brings back real good memories from childhood- I am in my 40's and will always remember those shows.
@SJHFoto Does that guy have a website or contact? I'd love to talk to this guy about his sales. Please give me his email address. No joke. I just want to see the episode about the red eye virus.
OMG!! I totally remember this show!! Nobody seems to remember it but me! There was a girl named Pepper, right? She had long blonde hair in pig tails. i remember watching one episode and she smoked or something and then she strarted gagging. Hahaha. Wow, this brings back some memories!
@KiddJetix Don't forget the 70s. PBS was banging until about 1990...I see they're TRYING to make a comeback but they have a long way to go. Too many cartoons not enough live action shows.

I was explaining to a friend what the concept of this show was about...it was like the Social Studies show of the PBS shows of the time...321 Contact and Zoom being Science...Square 1 TV and shows like Measure Up being Math, and the Electric Company being Reading and English. All the basis were covered by SEVERAL shows back then...ahh the good ol days of educational programming.
I must've been about 4 yrs old maybe younger. I remember one episode where one of the kids got drunk and I just vaguely remember a kid spraying Binaca (breath spray) to cover up the alcohol smell...
I dont know why I remember that shit.
I think this must have been in 81 or 82... i don't even think it was 83. I was born in 78 so you do the math.
Say, does anyone know the name of this astrology show that came on PBS with this crazy looking brown haired man? All he talked about was stars and moons and the next eclipse? If you do, pls tell me. I loved that show. Not sure if it was Stargazer. But thank you for helping to anyone who helps me out.
Been wanting to hear this for years. Thanks for putting it up. Right now, I only remember one episode that took place at a carnival...saw a short clip that vaguely looked familiar. The only one I remember is Pepper.
I thought "Powerhouse" aired sometime earlier than what its Wikipedia article claimed (Dec. '82 to Jan. '83), but I still remember this show vividly. TLC also aired the re-runs back in the early '90s.
I swear I thought I was the ONLY one who remembered this show...I wish they'd bring all the old shows on PBS back...at least on Saturdays or something.

I know a person who sells the shows on DVD. I bought them. It's expensive at $20/episode, but I think worth it

Yea. Email me at sales@sjhfoto.com, and I'll give it to you. I don't think I can tell you here since it's technically "spam" to promote things
