@Stolenhate If they legalize meth it would not be made in a house, but in a chemistry lab with trained professionals instead of drug dealers. So you would not have to worry about your apartment burning. Your kids also would be in less danger of using meth than right now because there would be an age limit and would be purchased in a store, and if the pharmacist noticed addictive tendencies in a buyer he could recommend treatment. If you ate a pill of Methamphetamine HCl (the form most commonly consumed orally) it would enter your stomach where it would be degraded by your stomach acid, pass through to the liver where enzymes tear it to shreds. Then any surviving meth hcl will be absorbed into the blood through the intestine, then the brain.

Meth is bad news thats for sure. First few times you try it, you feel like the world is wrapped around your finger, and that you can accomplish anything. @Stolenhate If they legalize meth it would not be made in a house, but in a chemistry lab with trained professionals instead of drug dealers. So you would not have to worry about your apartment burning. Your kids also would be in less danger of using meth than right now because there would be an age limit and would be purchased in a store, and if the pharmacist noticed addictive tendencies in a buyer he could recommend treatment. Also the violent gangs wouldn't be able to make money from it

@Stolenhate So ignorant.. Im going to ignore the first bit and answer your questions. What happens when you mix meth and stomach acid? First off im a bit surprised you want to eat it. If you ate a pill of Methamphetamine HCl (the form most commonly consumed orally) it would enter your stomach where it would be degraded by your stomach acid, pass through to the liver where enzymes tear it to shreds. Then any surviving meth hcl will be absorbed into the blood through the intestine, then the brain.

(Don't know if you've ever seen crystal meth, but its definitely not a solvent). You said meth was a corrosive but it's not, it can however be made from: (along with other things) muriatic acid, sulphuric acid and Sodium Hydroxide which are corrosive, so I see how you could be confused. But the final product C10H15N is a highly addictive, dangerous but non corrosive drug

Meth is bad news thats for sure. First few times you try it, you feel like the world is wrapped around your finger, and that you can accomplish anything. Over time, it gets harder and harder to get back to that "first high" . All the while you stay too fucked up to realize whats happening to your body. The full high of this shit makes you feel unstoppable and that you can do anything you set your mind to, but in reality you just spend alot of time talking about it and never do anything.

If we teach people they are out of control, and they believe they are out of control, they will ACT out of control. Addiction is the only "disease" that requires people to form an intent, get the materials together, ingest them...meth "addiction" requires you to form an idea, make a plan, cop the dope, figure out a place to use it, and smoke/snort/inject it.......weird disease, eh?

The government needs to get out of the business of attempting to stop adults from making bad decisions. Trillions of dollars. That's what's spent on 'the war on drugs' worldwide.
Even those who believe that this is the government's job should look at this pragmatically. Is anybody who wants drugs unable to get them due to government interference? No. So, on purely pragmatic grounds it is a failed policy. The war on the law of supply and demand can never be won.
Decriminalise the lot.
