R. Kurzweil deals with some potential dangers of NanoTech in his book "singularity". E.g, if NanoBots outnumber the amount of red/white blood cells in your body, they may do a better job at keeping you healthy, but they are at risk of getting digital viruses just like a computer is. It may mean that people will need firewalls uploaded into their bodies to stay protected. Maybe you should mention in your paper that Iran currently has one of the leading NanoTech programs in the world. Scary huh.

Natural solutions, like you call them, can definitely help prevent cancer. However, nobody is ever 100% safe and if you do get cancer, no 'natural solution' will help you.

There are too many causes of cancer for me to mention here.
They are not allegedly effective - they are effective. The treatment for cancer we have today is flawed, but at least it helps. The drugs are expensive because they are costly to develop. For example, there's a machine that targets a tumor with radiation from several hundred different angles, but it costs a fortune to build.
Anyway, nanotechnology promises cheaper, safer, and more effective treatments for cancer.
Aspartame has been proven time and time again to be virtually harmless in amounts it's used now. And even *if* Aspartame(E) did contribute to cancer in some way or another, removing it from production would do very little since there are so many more causes for cancer than allegedly harmful sweeteners.
You're pretty sure cancer would disappear? Don't be simple.

I am actually doing an argument paper on whether the benefits of nanotechnology outweighs the risks. my opinion is that yes the benefits outweigh the risks (but that's only because i had to choose a side) in reality this can go both ways. the prospect of being able to manipulate atoms individually is fascinating but at the same time frightening.

E.g, if NanoBots outnumber the amount of red/white blood cells in your body, they may do a better job at keeping you healthy, but they are at risk of getting digital viruses just like a computer is. It may mean that people will need firewalls uploaded into their bodies to stay protected. Maybe you should mention in your paper that Iran currently has one of the leading NanoTech programs in the world. Scary huh.

Hmm I wonder a cancer killing nanobot that breeds like a virus turns the cancer cell into a nanobot factory(the nanobots would have to be made of materials found in the body) and it would explode killing the cancer cell and making many more useful nanobots that could also be programmed to scrape plaque out of ur blood vessels and off of ur teeth. I work at a pizzeria... everyday is hell watching people eat that stuff... alot of them seem to be disabled mentally or physically... im not trying to label anyone but im not going to ignore the facts either. I used to eat that shit but then I read the ultramind solution... great book

@apocalist420 yea i know how u feel, i worked at burger king for 3 years when i was in school, most the ppl that came up there was fat or looked sickly, even i gain about 15 to 20 pounds when i was working there and since im not there im back at 150, yea lol. i own a chick fila franchise and im glad that we use organic chicken organic veg and natural oils to fry food in, just go easy on the dipping sauce lol

If we were to cure cancer, AIDS, or any major disease of the like, the population will jump at a horrific rate. Natural solutions, like you call them, can definitely help prevent cancer. However, nobody is ever 100% safe and if you do get cancer, no 'natural solution' will help you.

There are too many causes of cancer for me to mention here.
They are not allegedly effective - they are effective. The treatment for cancer we have today is flawed, but at least it helps. The drugs are expensive because they are costly to develop. For example, there's a machine that targets a tumor with radiation from several hundred different angles, but it costs a fortune to build.
Anyway, nanotechnology promises cheaper, safer, and more effective treatments for cancer.

Aspartame has been proven time and time again to be virtually harmless in amounts it's used now. And even *if* Aspartame(E) did contribute to cancer in some way or another, removing it from production would do very little since there are so many more causes for cancer than allegedly harmful sweeteners.
