  • Please help, my 6g72 motor is making a sound and i dont know what it could be .... heres the video /watch?v=neX955oHpJA . post a comment on what u think it might be.

  • Is it possible to put this motor in a Dodge Shadow.

They came with the 6G72 3.0 and a 5 speed.

I'd love to make the swap, but i dont know how common these motors are, or if it's possible to do without spending a fortune.

    Any info helps.

    Thanks.

  • Nice.

  • they put E85 in it

  • where can i get a engine rebuild kit for the 6g72?

  • the 93 and below vr4 engines are not as good as the 94 + however there is some 93s that have the the 94+ engines i believe they have the CAS

  • all 1993+ twin turbos 3S's have the 4bolt/forged crank/cam & crank sensor engine.

only the 91-92 twin turbo used the 2 bolt.

  • i thougth some of the early 93 3S had the two bolt but however some of the newer 93s have the four bolt after a certian production date also the early 93s have a like a sensor on the side of the timing belt cover or am i wrong?

  • the reason i say this is becuase i know that some 3S engines look the same but i found many difference in the two engines for example the the headers are not the same i know one of them has a sensor on the header as well as a like a honey comb inside also the manifold on the early years has less vacum lines and the diffrent oil pans to

  • Where did you get the engine from? How have you put it in a car yet/

  • yes. i put a new rear turbo on it, i uploaded a video of it running in a 1999 3000gt base. the video is titled "100_3174.MOV" in my uploaded videos

  • is that a JDM 6g72 dohc

  • and also my 2001 galant...

  • right but that 6g72 block is different from the one in this video, as it mounts on the opposite side of the car

  • @shooter83 Hi, are all 6g72 blocks different? I'm planning on putting one of these on my mitsubishi montero wagon, which uses a 6g72 SOHC, but I'm unsure about the mounts coinciding...

  • this engine is actually a tad smaller than the one that comes in the diamante. i believe. (6g74?) it should fit

  • the non-turbo 6g72 was in 92-96 Diamante, as well as the 91-99 3000gt

  • hey mate, quick question. ive been doin some research and am wanting to put a 6g72 dohc like this 1 in my mitsubishi magna/diamante. i was wondering if you could verify if this engine would work in it? i have found that it may be possible but i want to be 100 percent sure b4 i go ahead. thanks
