  • Yes, they all have names, wouldn't it be boring if they didn't?

  • im glad im not the only numpty that name their fish lol xxxx

  • The tank is 30 gallons.

  • how many gallons is your tank

  • your little unknowns are called oto cats

  • Cool!. I Love The Frogss!! <33

  • elephant nose fish usually use electrical pulses to find they're food so they do not use they're eyes stight as much.

  • Your fish should not ever be swimming upside down. Check your water quality, particularly the nitrate and nitrite levels. These fish are very sensitive to poor water quality. Feed bloodworm, either frozen, defrosted and strained or fresh live bloodworm strained and rinsed. Your tank is only just big enough. Make sure the temperature is 72 to 78 and that your water is good. I use only RO water when doing water changes for this fish. Let me know how it goes. Good luck

  • @rolfevans actually several fish can swim upside down, for example my redtail black shark is able to swim upside down and in reverse

  • Hey,

I just bought an elephant nose fish a couple days ago. I have a couple of problems, its not eating at all and its swimming upside down sometimes. What can I do to help it.

    Its a 20 gallon tank.

    Thanks

  • Pete rules the tank, totally, and he is great fun. Good luck with your "Henry", let us know how that goes. Cheers.

  • I was looking for examples of an elephant nose fish, after reading stuff about these strange and beautiful fish, but Pete helped us be instant fans!

The books say that they hide a lot, but Pete shows the books wrong! I read that they want to eat huge amounts, and they don't get enough chance to eat with other fish around, but the hand feeding is a great solution...

Now I can't wait to get my own 'Pete' like fish . Maybe a 'Henry'?

  • nice, I really want one of these elephantnose fish, next on the agenda for me. By the way, you both might mean 'oto's', or otocinclus. Good algae eaters.

  • The tank is 15 inches deep and 30 inches across. 110 litres I think. I have never heard of ottos before, nor has Google. Thank you for watching.

  • @rolfevans its otocinclus, their like a tiny pleco

  • the little guys are called ottos, how big is your tank just wondering?
