  • Barbra. There's no comparison.

  • Whitney was too growly and scary in her interpretation of this song however overall I prefer her as a singer.

  • I love them both! Two of the greatest of all time

  • I honestly think that they are evenly matched. In my opinion, neither is better than the other, but they are both the two greatest voice of our time.

It's impossible to compare them accurately because of the difference in their singing styles. In vocal power and skill, the are equal and both phenomenal.

  • @RobertEllis2010 i agree, they are both clearly amazing, and a little different, but both carry so much power and emotion and unique style. I find them both utterly beautiful and both women are so talented.

  • let's put babs & whit in a sing off now and see who's the greatest singer.......

  • @zeeuw070 if you could put both when they were young and at their prime barbra streisand would destroy her... her vibrato, her extremely high range.. she would be dead and "the voice" would too

  • @stevesg92 hahaha I love Babs, but vocally a young Barbra has nothing on young Whitney. Her sound wasn't nearly as rich, full, or powerful. Both had amazing timbres that shifted greatly as they aged. Both had a great vibrato. I also prefer Whitney's tendency to be a bit chesty to Barbra's nasal quality. That said, this is definitely a Streisand signature song :)

  • @RamajX that's is sorta not true... yes Barbra has been nasally in certain songs but that is not "her voice"....her voice had so many hues .... watch this video... I'm just trying to say that people have an idea of "Barbra's voice" as if it only had on facet but her voice was so so great that it could be extremely different .... this video is a perfect example

Barbra Streisand as Madame Schmausen Schmidt Sings "Liebestraum" & "Mother Macree"

  • there can only be one winner and that ofcoarse is BARBRA STREISAND

  • ahh both are shouting. so loud. my ears are paining. this what u called music then i would prefer janet and madonna.

  • @gawdesanket LOL And we see what you call taste now and then, pass.

  • @gawdesanket It's called belting

  • @gawdesanket what a complete moron... barbra for instance sang countless songs where her voice was very soft, sometimes high without what you ridiculously called "shouting".... BELTING just lends a song a certain thrill or excitement to a song and shows off the power of a singer's voice, if done properly

  • Barbra Streisand

  • goodness. the "church" in whitney's voice is amazing here! she tore this up! i love both versions...but her version gave me chills. what a great song! i know whitney grew up loving barbra and i feel like she gave respect here by covering this song. like she has done with aretha, chaka, her mom, ashford and simpson and many more! long live whitney and THE VOICE!

  • True Artists!

Barbra Streisand to Whitney Houston, prime example to any upcoming or even established singers of how to take a piece and truly make it your own. Whom is better comes down to simple subjective preferences. Yet, both simply stellar nonetheless!

  • Is whitney singing about bobby brown? LOL. what a loser.

  • I prefer Barbra, 'cause she has a very nice voice, and her high notes are just PERFECT.

  • There is only one Barbra Streisand. There are quite a few who sound similar (maybe not as good, but similar) to Whitney, but there is only one voice like Streisand's. There is only one Barbra Streisand.

  • Barbara does a great job and has a GREAT voice with power and range, but Whitney takes it to another level, her voice is much fuller and her belts are a little stronger than Ms Streisand's. classic example Barbara at :21 seconds then Whitney at 1:03

  • @devonpoe Let's listen to Barbra's A Piece Of Sky and listen to the extreme loud of 19 seconds belt. No,I should not called it as belt but projection. You may think it was a sound effect but I believe Barbra projected her voice in extreme volume herself.

  • @yongsua1989 i agree Barbra Streisand is a great singer, but Whitney in her prime was unmatched

  • Comment removed

  • I read a article about the lost of Whitney voice's and one of the reason that made her voice lost is Marijuana, cocaine, etc.Besides, she has some technical fault from her singing.Example, she used to pull her larynx in very high position to get big and powerful voice,as you can see her nerves at her neck when she is singing. Moreover, she has vocal nodule. She didn't rest her voice and keep organizing concerts.Hence, the vocal nodule became her permanent damage to her voice.Sob Sob

  • @yongsua1989 Interesting... thks

  • Barbra acts the song. Whitney riffs around with the song. There's a place for both, but ultimately, I find Barbra's more satisfying. There is no denying that they are both two of the best singers ever, though.

  • WHITNEY

  • IDIOT BARBRA STILL HAVE A VOICE WHITNEY GOT SHIT,WHITNEY LOST HER VOICE

  • both are great but WHITNEY is best.she has unbelievable voice

  • What is the name of this song?

  • BARBRA NEVER HAVE A DRUG PROBLEM WHITNEY DO NOT HAVE A VOICE ANYMORE BARBRA DO HAVE THE BEST VOICE EVER

  • @mu1977000; idiot..drugs don't have antything to do with Whitney's great voice..Barbara is great but Whitney is the best!

  • For me it's obvious that Barbra and Aretha are way above the rest of those modern day screamers because they have a deeper understanding of music and singing (lyrics, musicality, timbre, rhythm, emotion, phrasing). Singing is so much more than singing loud or high or long notes. But sadly enough todays mainstream is dominated by screaming ladies. Young people need to look to older stars to understand what REAL singing is.

  • THE VOICE WIN WHITNEY HOUSTON

  • @thanos633 she "wins" because you "prefer" her... that's all... she 's nothing compared to Barbra Streisand

  • I love both of them

  • One thing i wish and always will is to have Whitney & Barbra duet in their prime! Heck, I'd take both even today regardless. Love 'em! FYI with the sad bitching of some diva fans, Whitney does cite Barbra among Aretha, & Gladys Knight as the people she listened to growing up(that were outside of her family) that influenced her. (check out "Hold Up the Light" vid of Whitney & the Winans interview on Arsenio.)

  • Whitney is good/was good, maybe still is, but she is not at the top when it comes to the vocal game, I mean you have many greats like Aretha, before she lost her voice, Pattie Labelle the true Queen of vocals, you have natalie cole now she can blow

  • this is a Striesand song..... always will be... once a song is owned it can't be replicated... no matter the singer or effort!!

  • @ABBEYCOL lol i hear what you saying but im sorry whitney houston OWNED this song!!!!...wow im in awe right now......

  • Gotta give it to Streisand. She is truly powerful. Just sensational.

  • i love barbra, but i gotta go with whitney on this.

  • Vaseline hahahha, funny name LOL

  • I have to go with Barbra. While Whitney had a great instrument, Barbra is much more unique, graceful, and interesting to watch. And she continues to have #1 albums.

  • both are amazing- and i have extreme love for them both. babs did sing it first though- check out her movie version from "funny girl"... i feel like it is better than the 70's one on this video. however, no comparison- they are different types of talents but with equal amazement. well... to me. cheers!

  • whitney <3

  • Some black racist (as usual) made an ignorant remark saying only blacks have created American music. Erm, country music was created by Scottish people -- the instrumentation essential for it : fiddles, gaelic harps, guitars etc were all instruments Scots' used. Not blacks. Further, modern day pop music crossing All genres is only possible because white people and THEIR technology created sound booths & recording instruments for it. Oh and Scots also created line singing as used in Gospel too.

  • @funkydory90210 What do you mean black racist as usual? Like most of us are racist or something? What's wrong with you...I'm not racist at all...

  • @gaylolful : Read my comment and who it was directed towards. You have all the explanation you'll need. I'm glad you're a good guy.

    Regards.

  • Barbara trumps Whitney. Barbara has heralded Celine as her replacement. It is Celine who Barabara chose to sing Tell Him with, NOT WHITNEY!

  • @lcd2201 Whitney wouldn't have dared sing that tired song Tell Him. I'm glad she didn't do it with her. Whitney's got too much soul for such a whitebred song.

  • @grethomory : Too much soul for "whitebread song".

Uh huh. I take it she was too soulful to sing that other "whitebread song" called "I will always love you". Infact, if it was not the talents of that nice white lady called Dolly Parton, Whitney 'Bobby Brown made me do it' Houston would not have had such a good song to sing.

    Regards.

P.S. There's nothing soulful about being a cocaine addict. Just sayin'.................

  • @funkydory90210 Okay...but can you stop insulting Whitney? STUPID people will say White people don't have soul and other stupid people will say Black people do this BLAH BLAH...we can't sink to their level...just because someone insults your artist you don't have to insult theirs...WE CAN BE ABOVE THE HATE!!!!! :)

  • @gaylolful : I never insulted Whitney. But I think that certain people believe that if you've had a drug addiction then you're 'soulful' for having been through it. I disagree with that position.

Human beings have always imparted feelings into their work. All ethnicities.

  • @funkydory90210 I think saying "Bobby made me do it" is an insult(especially puttin it as her middle name)...she never said that and you know it...some Whitney fans may say that but she never said that....and who said that drug addicts were more soulful? Whoever said that should be slapped...I never heard anyone say that in my life...

  • @gaylolful : Think what you want. And I'll think what I want. Rule number one with drug addiction is to take responsibility and Whitney has been criticised for not fully taking responsibility. That was my point. That's what I think. It wasn't a direct quote thus you're understanding of it is clearly mistaken.

And even if I was insulting her, which I'm not, that would be my right to do so.

  • @funkydory90210 Um..well okay...

  • whitney has the best voice, but she has unhealthy technique, remember she had vocal nodules. Poor technique and drugs shred her vocal cords. Celine never had vocal nodules (only inflammation)

  • this is whitney at the peak of her career and at the best of her voice !!!

  • no contest this was whitney in her prime, NO ONE could touch her during this time, no disrespect to Ms Streisand who has a powerful voice as well, but Whitney power, tone and range is unmatched

  • Whitney Hands DOwn!!!

  • Barbra Streisand will forever be the Greatest Star EVER!! and Whitney is FAB!

  • @romanticspirit I love Whitney but you have to give Barbra her respect, even Whitney knows this.

  • Whitney Houston has the greatest voice in history; her tone had the perfect combination of beauty, power and soul. The entire world (including the whole music industry) didn't call her "The Voice" for nothing... Even in the vocal condition she's currently in, she could still sing circles around most of the joke acts around today. Whitney's voice = one of the most respected and celebrated instruments in music. Barbra Streisand is a LEGEND and her and Whitney are two of the top five greatest ever!

  • Whitney Alllllll the way

  • 2 amazing talents

  • Whitney.

  • barbra no contesttttttt!!!

  • Barbra wins!

No contest, Whitney started and finished during Barbra's career...Whitney's voice has all but gone in my opinion... shame really she was good.

  • WHITNEY ALL THE WAY..

  • whitney's my pick

  • Dude Whitney aint got nothing on Barbra. Not not now, not then, not EVER.

  • Its sad to realize that in these clips Barbra's voice and career were just really getting warmed up while Whitney's were at their climax.

  • Two of the best ever. But even so, one of the proofs how amazing Whitney was at her peak is: her voice is flawless, even compared to Barbra's. Whitney had a lot more strong voice.

But of course, Barbra is amazing, a true diva, artist.

    They both are legends

  • Whitney is amazing! Listen to her! My goodness!

  • Sorry Whitney sucks !

  • I love Whitney's soulful take on the song. I'm not saying one is better than the other. They're different, and both dynamite.

  • "THE VOICE" IS A COPYRIGHT OF CHAKA KHAN THE QUEEN OF SOUL." THE little Whitney voice Houston.

  • @SOCCERNUT32 The Voice is Whitney's title and not Chaka's. And when is Chaka the Queen of Soul, thats Aretha's title.

  • @TheQueenAretha my apologizes..the QUEEN OF FUNK AND WHITNEY IS QUEEN OF CRACK. NEXT!

  • @SOCCERNUT32 Thats a cheap shot. Whitney is the Voice.

  • @TheQueenAretha LMAO..I get under you skin..I LOVE IT! DON'T BE SUCH A LITTLE GIRL. CHAKA KHAN IS THE VOICE AND CAN DO VOCAL GYMNASTICS AROUND YOU'RE ARETHA/WHITNEY ANYTIME. OH..AND BY THE WAY..CHAKA WAS DOING HARDER DRUGS BACK IN THE DAY AND DIDN'T TARNISH HER PIPES..BECAUSE...THEY ARE THAT POWERFUL..WHITNEY GOES MUTE! LOL. BTW IF I DON'T RESPOND RIGHT AWAY IS BECAUSE I HAVE LIFE..DON'T HAVE TIME FOR YOUR REDICULOUSNESS. COME ON BRO DON'T BE SCARED..SAY IT.."CHAKA KHAN QUEEN OF FUNK" ! LOL

  • @SOCCERNUT32 Bitch Please! Chaka is by no mean The Voice of shit, Whitney is The Voice. And Chaka can't lay a finger on Aretha and Whitney vocally. What the hell are you talking about drugs did tarnish Chaka's voice, all she has is her originally sound and her voice has never been as powerful as Whitney and Aretha's,

  • @TheQueenAretha ...auw....you okay? You seem really upset.

  • @SOCCERNUT32 They still have more power than Chaka. Chaka is merely loud. Bitch you are fucked up in the head what you need is a life, as real one at that. You ain;'t nothing but a crazy ass Chaka stan.

  • @TheQueenAretha auw....you're a strong, mad black woman aren't you? Fat as well, most likely. That shit don't work on us latins fucker so SHUT THE FUCK UP ! WITH YOUR WEVE TALKING, MUFFIN TOP HALTER WEARING, STUPID EXCUSE FOR A LITTLE GIRL. NEXT. UGH..DON'T YOU GET IT, YOU'RE SO IGNORANT, R&B AND THESE SINGERS ARE NOT THE BEST, JUST WELL KNOW. THE VOCALLY BEST ARE IN SOUTH AMERICA AND EUROPE.."OPERATIC" SINGERS..BUT YOU WOULDN'T KNOW. YOU'RE SOO URBAN..I FEEL SORRY FOR YOU. YOU NEED JESUS.

  • @SOCCERNUT32 What does my race and my gender have to do with anything. And for your information i am not fat at all and you can't talk about anyone being fat, have you looked at Chaka lately, sister is blowing up! It kills me how fucked up all of Chaka's fans are. It is laughable. Who are you to tell me who is the best. A great singer is more than just power and range. I am not a close minded person but you happen like you. But they aren't the best.

  • @TheQueenAretha well I'm sure your the ugly nappy hair weavy cunt of a little boy is the stan. Don't hate, show yourself on your profile. Yah that's what I thought. next.

    ciao mija.

  • @SOCCERNUT32 You are a stupid, retarded , racist ass bitch. That wasn't even called for. You have some nerve talking like that. And i am not a little boy, i am a teenage girl. You ugly, trap mouthed asshole.

  • @TheQueenAretha IS THE SADEST PIECE OF SHIT ON YOUTUBE! DO U ACTUALLY HAVE A LIFE?? ITS CLEAR THAT YOU DONT HAVE AN EDUCATION OR ANY REAL IDEA ABOUT MUSIC/SINGING....DO U EVER LEAVE UTUBE?...GET A LIFE U SAD LONELY INDIVIDUAL!

  • @rottweler HE SADEST PIECE OF SHIT ON YOUTUBE!, At least you know what you are. And yes i do have a life, something you stans know nothing about. Why don't you just jump off a cliff and get the fuck out of my face.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheQueenAretha blah, blah blah...lo que necesita saber donde la música se originó en la medida de la música moderna de la época. Usted no te gusta lo que se le da a usted por los medios de comunicación que es triste.

yes, ...I know spanish..I suggest you learn you're native tough..African stupid ignorant fuck.

  • @SOCCERNUT32 Bitch there is like 2000 lauguages in the Africa.

  • Whitney Houston's voice (in her PRIME) is one of the best voices music has ever heard in my opinion... There are not many singers past or present that can compete with Whitney vocally, in fact, when Whitney was in her prime she was basically untouchable.

Whitney was the best of her generation, and I think she is the better voice out of these two magnificent singers.

  • Barbra sounds very nice, but Whitney Houston back in her good old days was just flat amazing. Nobody could touch Whitney not even Barbra on her best days. I grew up in the mid 80s and Whitney was hott then. I can't recall hearing about Brabra beside on then classic music informercials. Im thinking she is for an older crowed.

  • @Lilweezy2815 Im 20 and a big fan of Barbra

  • @Lilweezy2815 Spot on,Barbra is for an older crowd from the 1960's and 1970's were her most successful years in terms of hit singles. But both are amazing

  • @DaxShaw Barbara is timeless.

  • whitney might have had a nice voice back in the 80's. for the past 20 years she sounds like a chain smoking transvestite.

Barabara sounded incredible even at her 40's.

  • Both wonderful singers, however Whitney in her prime conquered ANY before her and so far any after her!

  • i love 'em both. they own wonderful voices...

  • that will always be a streisand song not a whitney number

  • look i think whitney is great but Barbra is the best ever she has covered every type of music over the years and brilliantly

  • I prefer 12 paintings of Manet instead of 57 paintings of Alexandre Cabanel, even if the last one was a great painter too. But as good as Cabanel, you could find few others... on the other hand the legacy of Manet is in a league of his own.

I love Barbra and I trully admire her career, in its diversity and lasting, I also have several Barbra's albuns, and I find her a better person than WH.

But when it comes to vocal skills and purity of timbre, Whitney's first 12 years (1984-96) are unmatched!

  • Who the hell you think you are Thekaliko? Barbra Streisand possess the voice of God. Barbra can sing many genre of music. Barbra's voice is powerful and timeless. Barbra's voice is unique. Barbra's voice is multi-octave. Barbra's voice quality is as smooth as butter. Barbra's mother is just envious of Barbra's vocal prowess.

  • Obviously, you don't know much of Barbra's music. She definitely has had the greatest voice in the world.( female artist with the most gold and platinum albums) Regarding the "lack of range"comment, just listen to "Mother" or "Piece of Sky". No way anyone else can sing with that RANGE! Regarding the "uneven" vibrato, WTF! She has ALWAYS had the BEST Vibrato, just listen to " Niagara" or " On a Clear Day ". Whitney will never come close to sounding as great as Barbra. Face it.

  • Oh, I understand. But Whitney is always called THE VOICE while that great Barbra will never, remember that. ;). Both are outstanding singer but don't say hateful and stupid comment like that.

  • You are an arsehole

  • @thekaliko Barbra's mother was known for being unkind to her and speaking of families didn't Whitney's dad sue her?

  • fuck off man,

    Barbra's voice pisses me off

    Whitney all the way

  • Fuch off you Aussie prick. There is a very obvious reason we Brits sent you fuckers to the other side of the world.

  • @ccchisholm1

    gee arent u mature

bringing my CUltutre into the battle between Barbra and Whitney?

    grow up mate

no one thinks your racism is tough

  • is this an elimination contest for the right to face the champion? if it is, whitney can't sing anymore so, it's a walkover for babs. however, babs must now step up her training for she now has to face the 73 year old champion, unbeaten in a professional career lasting 57 years: dame shirley bassey! i predict a first round k.o. for the dame- that's if the authorities allow such a mismatch to take place

  • elimination contest? if mike tyson who's not at his peak anymore faces today some college boxer, he would lose... so it doesn't matter who is at their peak and when... the bottom line is, whitney at her best is better than barbra at ANY point...

  • @whfan007 eh? what? er? beam me up scotty!

  • @whfan007: Great response and so accurate.

  • @whfan007 Oh please how naive can you be ...Whitney is simply so vulgar, nobody even wans to admit they ever even listened to her ...as for Babs thats another class ...reign for ever BARBARA

  • @donkiddick08 : Big fan of Withney, and Babs voice is sweet and beautiful; BUT I have always thought of Shirley Bassey as the golden voice; she simply rocks!

  • Everyone talks about Barbra Streisand's tone, the one that inspired all those comparisons to the world's smoothest condiment. They also speak of her range, which mirrors the distance between the depths of the Grand Canyon and the peaks of Everest. Her lung power invites equal comment; Small wonder since, at full bore, it can flatten a town.

  • they are really not comparable. even though i really like whitney, this song just isn't what she can do.

  • Barbra Streisands voice is naturally enchanting, brilliant and magnificent! Babs do not need to exaggerate and fake her voice!

  • Both are great. Though, Whitney Houston will always be the standard.

  • Barbra's voice is like butter! Barbra is better!

  • love babs but whitney's styling is impeccable

  • people... y'all can approach this with all of those nice theories, use nice terms and 'big words'.. i can even participate in that.. BUT-

it all comes down to this:

when you put all theory aside and just look at these performances.. Whitney's rendition just hits/ entertains you on such an emotional way.. her performance just leaves you KNOWING it was impeccable

  • Babs is still going strong. Whitney is just still going. Don't get me wrong, if it wasn't for Whitney, I wouldn't have started singing as a child. But Barbra is still there with a strong voice. I admire them both and am still learning from each of them.

  • What's the argument about? BOTH of these women are damned good singers. Why argue or compare who is better? They are damned good!!!!!

  • ok for white women she sounded good but whitney made it seem like she was the song

  • @michael52ish What a stupid remark.

  • These are two of the greatest singers in the world. The are the Queens of Mid-Range belting.

  • They are both wonderful singers and we are so blessed to have them both. Stop the fighting and just enjoy people.

  • They're the only 2 American singers to have been inducted into the opera hall of fame!

  • Opera Hall of Fame? Never heard of it. Are you sure this wasn't made up?

  • To tell the truth. I don't even know? Someone mentioned it and I took their word. I've googled it and can not find it anywhere. That won't happen again! Thanks!

  • While i think barbra deserves credit for her great career and her storytelling approach to songs, she is by no means comparable vocally to major powerhouses like whitney houston, or the celines and mariahs. This little clip shows the vastly superior range, power, strength, agility and soul of whitney houston. Barbra has a decent, thin nasally voice which is dramatic, but technically speakin she is not Whitney/Aretha;s level of GREAT. She said herself she is more of an actress than a singer.

  • This is so false! Barbra has one of the most powerful voices in music, WAY more powerful than Celine, who you are certainly mixing her up with. Barbra's tone is round and full, Celine's is thin and nasally. And technically, Barbra is one of the best. The most connected voice, the best breath control and the best sense of pitch in music.

  • @Chimier How can it be false? The clip is right there in front of you. ''Barbra is certainly the better musician'' - how on earth did you figure that one out? As far as i am concerned she doesnt pay any instruments, she knows very little about the technical aspects of singing and she seldom writes her own songs - her last album was entirely composed by a jazz singer. She uses her emotions and a theatrical approach to singing than technical. So stop making ridiculous remarks.

  • You're not familiar with her material, are you? Barbra was the first white female to belt above the staff. There is nothing thin about her tone. What you're thinking about is a hard vocal edge. Yes, she doesn't have that, but it doesn't mean her tone is thin.

And I was talking about musicianship. Barbra has more musical authenticity and produces better melodic phrases than Whitney.

  • Oh, and let's not forget that Barbra has composed her own musical score.

  • 'Barbra was the first white female to belt' - there you go, you have proved that you know NOTHING about music.

Belting existed years before barbra was even born you idiot! Ethel Merman? Judy Garland? to name a few. That comment shows im arguing with a fool.

You can continue to deny it, claim that this video is a 'fake' etc..but a live recording doesnt lie. Barbra's voice is thin and nasally - a charcateristic of most jewish voices and pales in comparison.

    Whitney is 'the voice.'

  • Are you that STUPID? I said she was the first to belt ABOVE THE STAFF! I didn't say she was the first to belt. You're a flaming moron!

When did I claim this video was fake? And her tone is not thin and nasally at all. She sings in THE MASK, not the nasal cavity. Get back to me when you get some knowledge in vocal pedagogy, bitch.

  • @Chimier Agrees! Barbra is much better than Vaseline Dion. They are not even in the same league. Vaseline wants to be Queen Streisand so bad. In the beginning of her career, she tried very hard to copy her. Plus, Vaseline doesn't sing live. She always sings with a backtrack. Queen Streisand would never use a backtrack or lip sync..

  • @Chimier You are right...this is not about age or peak...is about full artist, and Barbra was and is for a lot more than any of those mentioned...though Shirley is a huge artist too, but again, you are right, Barbra's voice is round and complete...!!!D's up if you think like we do...!

  • Celine's tone is very similar to Barbara's (they share the same vocal coach).

On their duet it was very hard to distinguish between them.

Barbara is also very nasal when she sings (but I suppose considering the instrument you wouldn't really expect anything else now would you?

  • @taurusg32 There's nothing similar about their tones. Barbra's is round and beautiful, Celine's is thin and nasal. Barbra's tonal beauty, diction and sense of pitch slay Celine's. Maybe it was hard for you to distinguish, it wasn't for me.

  • Regardless - Whitney blew Barbara away - and WITH EASE!!!

Whitney's voice is stronger / she has a much larger range and to be honest - Barbara looked like she struggled!!

  • @taurusg32 Or not. Whitney has a bigger voice, but Barbra is the more artistically accomplished singer. If it wasn't for Barbra reinventing My Man as a power ballad, Whitney wouldn't have sang it the way she did.

Struggling? Ok...if she was struggling, you'd have heard it in the singing, but her tone was focused and properly supported.

Oh, and Whitney and Barbra have about the same range, so...

  • @Chimier celine is way more powerful than barbra IDIOT, NEXT, you need an ear transplant, change your auditory nerve too

barbra won't duet with celine because she's scared, she's sure to be blown by celine

celine thins out and that's technique.

  • @luigimanzanares Or not dumbass. Celine could never match Barbra's power, much less surpass it.

No, your voice is not supposed to thin out the higher you go. #FAIL

  • @Chimier barbra best in sense of pitch huh?? ive seen her many times, she was offkey and offtune many times and there are not so many out there

  • @luigimanzanares Then you obviously can't hear right. Barbra's never offkey.

  • @Chimier Whitney has the best voice, but she has unhealthy technique, remember she had vocal nodules. Poor technique and drugs shred her vocal cords. Celine never had vocal nodules (only inflammation). I rather have a silver voice and a pure technique, than a golden voice with poor technique

  • @luigimanzanares Where is Celine on this video? Nowhere, so why are you even bringing her up?

You do know that vocal nodules can happen via overuse of the voice, which is not the same thing as bad technique.

Whitney's technique was not poor, she just used her voice too much and got vocal nodules, then was singing with a damaged instrument. Add that to the fact she did drugs, smoked since she was 16 and had three miscarriages and you have vocal decline.

    Now go away.

  • @Chimier You're totally misinformed or didn't research well. She's always CHESTY POWER with poor mixed voice technique which is easier and healthier way. That's what she got for having THE VOICE, no longevity

Well okay, lets say she has good technique, if she used her voice too much, that means she IS NOT DISCIPLINED. Celine lived and sang in the DESERT DRY VEGAS for 5 years, 200 days a year and her voice though changed is still awesome because she lives by good values in life unlike your idol

  • @luigimanzanares LOL at you talking about vocal technique. Go on, tell me about vocal registration, breath control, appoggio, even scale, mixing, vocal color, dynamics, vocal agility, vocal flexibility, resonance, placement, laryngeal position, soft palate, hard palate, go on, I dare you.

  • @Chimier Talk to seth riggs, brett manning and eric arceneaux. I dont need to deal those with you. Keep them to yourselves because you're the only one who has the insanity to bring that up at this point.

  • @luigimanzanares Read a book, dumbass.

  • @Chimier I have CDs and DVDs and a personal vocal coach

  • @luigimanzanares HAHAHAHA then that coach LIED! If you can't explain any of those things I mentioned, then you're in no position to be telling me about the voice...at all. NEXT!

  • @Chimier Good luck with your own musical theories and knowledge about THE VOICE. Its you who only understands it. Goodbye voice-obssessed, go make some more high notes videos, can you make a video about voice splattering and melismas of the different divas

  • @luigimanzanares Can you get a functioning brain? If so, maybe I'll actually listen to your little "request"

  • @Chimier its functioning like yours in vegetable state

  • @luigimanzanares So you just admitted you're retarded...well, you know what they say...admission is the first step towards recovery....ooops! You don't recover from retardation! Oh well, sucks to be you.

No, my brain functions correctly. Sorry.
