I do remember Faxanadu! I still have my original NES cart. Do you also have a copy of Crystalis for the NES? That is easily one of my favorite NES games, an excellent action/RPG. To me, it even outdid Zelda. The awesome music, cool swords and powers, and neat enemies made it so much fun.
@megamanxCOE Indeed I do Tim. That will likely pop up on a future episode of Remembering. Right now I've got a TON of games I'm trying to get through. Before I jump into direct-feed NES games I want to make sure I perfect the recording of certain other games ;) Fear not though, I've got some great stuff coming up.
Nice stuff. 4 Dragon Quest games for the NES. 2 for the Super Famicom (well, I'm talking original games here), 1 for the Playstation, 1 for the PS2 and 1 for the DS. The frequency of releases for the series has dropped consideribly since the NES.
@tendresseak27 Yeah and let's not forget the remakes either. Famicom Dragon Quest 1 to 4 Super Famicom Dragon Quest 1 & 2 Remake Dragon Quest 3 Remake Dragon Quest 5 and 6 PS1 Dragon Quest 4 Remake Dragon Quest 7 PS2 Dragon Quest 5 remake Dragon Quest 8 Then on the DS they essentially re-released the remakes albeit altered, and released DQ IX. What's really crazy is how much the value of DW4 has decreased with the DS remake.
