  • Grease: 1978

That time MJ was 20 years old, and he was a very famous performer with a lot of performances.

  • If anything John Travolta copied black people dancing that's been out for years.Just look at Soul Train, when MJ was a kid he was doing James Brown dance moves and any popular dance on Soul Train,so stop the bullshit.Anybody in the world can tell you that MJ was inspired by black people dancing and black performers such as Sammy Davis Jr.,James Brown, and Jackie Wilson.SO STOP HATING because if u going to call MJ out, then u might as well call John Travolta.

  • michael was not a copier!! it was the style.

  • MJ didnt copy JT. your talking about 70/80's dance moves. They have very iconic dance moves in that era of dance. Everyone span around, everyone crotch grabbed, everyone collar popped, and everyone walked like they had ants in their pants XD i used to impersonate MJ as a dancer and he had way more energy in his moves than anyone. I was like dieing after performing 5 of his songs while he did over like 25 of them nightly. believe me MJ is no copier, the only moves he took were from James Brown.

  • doesnt really matter:) i love em both! n great job on the vid. it was fun watching 2 great men dancing to lady gaga lmao

  • Its not just the dancing that he copied, i think he wanted to be Travolta

i noticed a lot of similarities between the two of their faces when watching Grease, MJ has similar lips as JT and even the same dimple in his chin...

not complaining bout any of this though. whats wrong with it, we all need to get our inspiration from somewhere.

  • Watch Soul Train for goodness sake. Obviously Travolta did.

  • These are BLACK DANCES dumb asses. MJ wasn't copying John Travolta or some white dude from back in the day. He was doing dances that black people have been doing FOREVER so stop this kind of BULLSHIT and educate yourselves.

  • I like Travolta and he danced well but some of the moves are similar. I don't think MJ copied Travolta or else he would have credited him? The only one I see that is the exact same was when they gestured the curves, then the pushing (funny). When he was with his brothers, they danced their arses off. Come on, the dude has been dancing since he was 5. A lot of his earlier moves were the popular dances back then. I know MJ did copy some moves from a broadway dancer...can't remember his name.

  • MJ drugs equal death

    Travolta drugs equals DISCO INFERNO

  • I like JT & MJ like more JT but does not important. Everybody know that MJ was inspire from JT movement, for me is OK because I see rarely great dance like JT do

So if somebody else can do is OK and MJ doit very good.

So now one is dead and one is old I hope somebody new to copy one of them.

    May be better.

  • Are u an MJ hater?

anyway John is My Favorite actor and Mike is my favorite singer, what I want to say I'm not a hater of either one, I love them both

Michael didn't copy John, those moves were popular those years and both used them in their own way, still probably Mike was inspired with some Travolta moves, who knows, but a COPIER? hell no

and remember Michael always gives credits to people that inspire him

    R.I.P my hero Michael <3

& all the best to my fav actor John

  • Great video!!! I've never seen the moves of John Travolta and now I got astonished!! It could be that Michael looked out those dance moves but he changed them to better

  • Awesome that video. Good work.

I still can thinking that Michael takes Travolta moves

  • @grenndiri So I guess now u going to say that MJ's ability to mix different dancing styles such as tap, ballet, jazz, pop lock, and even karate is something that he took from John Travolta as well huh?MJ been dancing way before John Travolta came out on the scene so I advise u to do some research on black performers before u accuse anyone of copying.
