@seshoki Let's see, E7 and Origin: love story, incorporates nature as a sentient being, some people are able to to connect to said nature and become part of a mental network, etc. etc.

E7 and Evangelion: "robots" that have organic frames, E7 brushes on the whole 'I am me' thing while Evangelion has this as basically the resolution of the show, and weird monsters as grunts (E7:anitbodies, NGE: angels); that's all I got.

I'm comparing themes here, so feel free to add anything.

Giant robot turns out not to be just a robot but a living being. character for character counterpart in each show.

Saying Eureka 7 is about sentient nature, is taking quite a leap.

Pretty enjoyable video. Some really interesting and thought provoking ideas...Pretty hard to develop complex ideas in an hour and 34 minutes, but I think the points were conveyed, even I was able to pick up on them. Good work.

i fuckin love these asian movies. ever since i was a little kid and watched "Spirited Away" i fell in love with the whole scene. the way that they can see and emulate human emotion is just mind blowing. there isn't a single well made eastern film that doesn't touch that soft spot in people but keeps your attention throughout the ENTIRE FILM!! there are almost no other western films like that and no, those gay ass chick flicks don't count for all you women and/or "gay" guys out there.

@1tiel also "kiki's delivery service" was another one of those movies i fell in love with as a kid. if you haven't see those two movies, i highly recommend them, regardless of how old they are by now, or by the time you read this comment, those two movies will be up there with the best movies of all time. even if you don't like the genre, if you like good story telling, which MAKES a good movie, then you will love and admire these.

@akspartan92 not the same way that these movies keep you in touch with the movie. i saw lion king as a kids movie, as well as all other pixar and disney films. not saying that they're bad though, they just keep your attention in a different way and i feel (as in, "my opinion") that the way eastern movies keep you intrigued is a lot better than the way you're referring to in "kids" movies.

i say "kids" because they're watched by all ages, but they're intended for kids.

I thought that the plot was well thought out. I agree that we should be able to progress with modern day tech and society but I also believe that we should try equally hard to preserve the natural world as well. Without this planet and its natural resources we would surely cease to exist. Altough it appears that mankind is trying its hardest to destroy our planet this is not true either. It its simply ignorance, greed, and laziness that is currently destroying life here. Respect nature.

The first hour and the last 30 minutes you could easily tell the difference in how hard they were trying. At about 1:09:00 they went CG heavy and it looked terrible with the 2d animation. Plus the story and artwork quality dropped off heavily. If they managed to not allow the quailty to fall, i would have given it props in production value with studio Ghibli. Overall, I give the movie a 3.8 out of 5.

Forest = nature --> where everything humans have come from including iPhones

Industrialized city = technology --> characters could not breath and forced to wear masks to block polluted air, and imitates nature

Village = striking the balance --> the village kept the two forces (technology & nature) from colliding and keeping the peace. notice no improvement in village.

...Nature needs technology and vise versa -->BALANCE

I love how people are expounding over "nature" in this flick.

The 'Forest' in the movie were actually GENETICALLY-ENGINEERED MUTANT PLANTS that invaded Earth and destroyed both human civilization AND Earth's real natural ecosystems. There was NOTHING 'natural' or nature' about the Forest in this film.

And by the end of the film, its clear its humanity's destiny to be assimilated into this mutant organism, whether they like it or not.
