I for instance had a band and I noticed that I negotiated my way through certain tunes the way the artists I liked did. For instance at times I caught myself trying to sound like David Bowie. It wasn't conscious but what one listens to influences how one sounds like to a degree. The similarities here are amazing. If coffeescup were on the radio I could hardly tell the difference between her and Joan Baez.
