I don't understand why she just didn't roll down the window and get out that way since the doors were jammed. Looks to be an old enough model that is would have had manual windows,
In the mid to late 70's lincoln was one of the first manufactors to come out with power windows although they didnt have power locks..anyways when ever the engine is stop the power windows dont work unlike today cars where the power runs off the battery then they ran off the alternator. But ya right if there was crank windows she should of just rolled them down....
There have been worse designs though, even though that is poor there is a 1980 chevy in my drive right now side impact it's almost guaranteed to blow up, The tanks (dual 25 gallon tanks) are between the body and the frame so when they get hit they rupture, they were aptly names suicide rigs at the time of their recall.
Cars like that were known as pintos, and most of them had their gas tanks in the trunk area. So if they were impacted from the rear, its a sure guarantee that the car will catch fire instantly or blow up on impact.
Wow she ran into her own cousin! That reminds me of a news story a while back where these teens were driving and crashed head on to another car and it was their grandparents in the other car and the grandparents both died. Wow how sad! The teens lived though but I know that messed them up emotionally!
a burning car can explode duh my cousin is a mechanic and even i know that a burning car can explode if it gets mixed with gas or any of the other flammable liquids that are in ur car like oil, brake and steering fluid, antifreeze and u need to get out of the car as fast as u can when a car is on fire even if the u or another person is injured
How stupid is this, she looked geese while driving and slammed head on right into her relatives car. Ok I can understand that accidents happen but the way she said that :D
Kinda like makes you really wonder about womendrivers.
As for the avoiding animals to not get into a wreck but end up wrecking anyway, hey it unfortunately happens all the time. People will start focusing on the animal(s) instead of where they are driving on the road and wreck as a result of caring about not hitting the animal(s).
I know I always look at the geese in the road because they will just walk out into traffic unexpectantly they don't know cars will kill them. So I do watch them, so I can see how her accident happened, then there was a hill too, that kept her from seeing what was ahead till she got right upon her cousin's car.
I'm a female driver and I see guys rubberneck or get distracted while driving as much as women. In fact, a couple weeks ago my sister was driving her car and some guy was staring at a running fire hydrant that the fire department will occasionally let flush out, ran the stop sign at the corner, and ended up t-boning my sister's car on the drivers side with his truck. The car was totaled from the accident, but fortunately my sister is OK.
Fords SUCK! What was this a Crown Victoria, or a Continental (glorified ford)? If she were in any other car, this catastrophe would probably never have taken place. It was not just the Pintos that had this problem. The Crown Vics, Continentals, and classic Mustangs ALL were fire hazards in rear end collisions. The Fords truly live up to the acronym "found on the road dead!"
You break off the antenna from the car or another car for that matter, and as if it was a spoon with food in that you want to flick at someone you flick it so that the end hits the corner of a side window and the window will shatter. If you pressing/hitting the center of a side window it will be extremely hard to break.
Why would you wanna break out the front window. First off the front is tougher to break, Sharper, and tougher to get people out than the side window. Makes no sense
Most likely he wanted to break the window for an easy eascape, seeing as how the back window was blocked by fire, althogh I would've gone for one of the side windows.
Probably because you can run up on the hood and stomp the windshield. With the side windows you have have lift your foot up and kick, so it would have been more difficult to get enough force from outside the car. I guess the woman in the car could have lied on her back and tried to kick one of the side windows out.
wat was the next one when the woman sayin he has a knife and if u have it the next time up up load videos could you plz too looks like a good one thanks
The woman's ex-boyfriend gets drunk and runs everyone out of her house, but her son is still inside and the guy has a butcher knife and won't come out. It's not a re-enactment, though, so mostly all you see is the cops standing outside talking to him through the window.
The samaritan's brown Ford pickup looks exactly like the truck used in the segment where accident victims are electrocuted by down power lines. Any chance it could be the same vehicle?
I Looked and they have different grills as well. They do look similar from the naked eye without still video. Good Eye.Look at 5:17 of this one and :40 of episode 111 part 1.
Relations getting into a car wreck together, what are the chances. In terms of fault, it was the cousin's since she was distracted, speeding, and plowing into a park car
even more freakier than that, i was watching wildes police videos the other day, and the cops were chasing a drunk driver and he hit a car head on... the car he hit, was his own wife and daughter
i used to love this show! i hated how the commercials were placed though, right when it gets good, but they always do that...
awesome show!

The blue sedan is an LTD II and the one that Kathy was trapped in is a mid-70's Continental Mark IV or V, not sure exactly which.

It was a 1976 Lincoln Continental.
