@lebanesesoldierboy Malamutes are larger and can be more aggressive. The husky is freindlier to strangers. Both would be fine in a small house and big yard as long as they were well excercised. The husky would be your better bet for a jogging partner and neither one of them woould be a likely pick to go get your morning paper. Shedding would depend on the climate of where you live as their coats would become accustomed to it.

"breed standard" for the alaskan husky since they are not pure bred dogs. the alaskan husky is NOT a malamute. malamutes are larger sledding dogs. they are a pure breed dog.

@lebanesesoldierboy sibs are slower pullers and not as dedakated to there work, most sledding kennels have the alaskan huskie because there faster and hard workers and the look is alot different sibs are a yellowy color and look alot like some hunting dogs because thats a main line in the breed and theres rilly no such thing as a purbread alaskan but sibs are well bread if you would like to know any more just ask me cuz i am a breeder of the alaskan and the siberian :)

@lebanesesoldierboy Difference is that a siberian husky is pure breed where as an alaskan husky is not real and if it is real it is a mix of other alaskan breeds which means it is a mut, therefore if someone comes up to you and tells you you're wrong you tell them that huskies come from siberia and all they're talking about are some muts.
