Syrian government is lead by the dictator Bashar Assad. He inherited the power illegally from his father Hafiz Assad who was also a dictator. Syrian people have been oppressed by what so called Emergency Law for 48 years. Every citizen can be convected with a crime without proving guilty, just for calling for freedom or democracy or by simply posting a blog on the Internet. The government controls all media, and they are so good at faking democracy and freedom. Syrian people are uprising now.
@xMaXiMuSx ..Sure it is organized from outside. There are no political actives in Syria. They are all either in exile, dead, or in custody. There are very few who are still active, but on a low level.
Aleppo/Halab= Syria/Shaam, The origin of Balochs, Syria once was the major part of Median empire and Assyrian empire, beautiful city, beautiful country :) love the people.
@CookingAmmi ..Yes Syrian is beautiful. It would be like heaven if Bashar and his regime leave the country, and allow it to be democratic. We're sick and tired of this dictatorship, and the corruption.
Seriously who the fu ck is paying to write this $hit??? Everyone understands that the people that orchestrating these protests in Syria are funded by various NGOs and foreign intelligence agencies.. There is no support for these protestors at all.. Yo ucan't have a revolution if you only have a couple of thousands young hoolgians attacking goverment buildings.. Real protests in defaince of goverment are peaceful and encompass people of all demographics..
@xMaXiMuSx syrian people have to understand this is a giant media war to attack us mentally and turn us against our government! we have to attack them twice as hard, no mercy! they post 1 propaganda, we post 10 truths! let this be known to everybody!
@xMaXiMuSx Stop lying to yourself. We all know the security forces are the ones killing civilians. You're a moron if you believe the MB is behind all this. The people have had enough of these criminals in power, and it's time for a new era of freedom in Syria. The Revolution was inevitable.
I dont think MB is behind this.. I know they are you idiot.. What's next? you're telling me NATO is bombing Libya to "protect civilians" .. You are an idiot? Do you work for some kind of an NGO?
@xMaXiMuSx No, I am not stupid enough to believe the Libyan campaign was to protect civilians. If it really was about that, then NATO would've attacked Syria.
lol you're funny. I can tell that you're not Arab or Syrian. Everyone knows that the Syrian government is the most savage Arab government there is. Go do your homework.
Dude you are an idiot... Same thing is happening in Syria as Libya.. There are Western backed terrorists attacking the syrian police/army and the army is fighting back and protecting the people.. That's a fat.. WTF are you trying to prove now with your lies?????????
@xMaXiMuSx Like I said, you're not Syrian. So you don't know what the Security forces have been doing to Syrian citizens since the 70's. So if you don't know, please shut up. Every Syrian knows the truth about their criminal government.
The city has changed a lot now. Now the area of the citadel beside many other areas within the city have been completely renovated and renewed. The citadel area looks completely different.
Very interesting. I have (Armenian) relatives in Aleppo who had managed to escape from the Turks and stayed and seem to have prospered. But we lost track of them in the 1960s. I have often wondered if they are still in Aleppo, and can't seem to make any contacts there. I should like to visit someday; Aleppo looks fascinating.
My family is originally Armenian from Sivas and Harput (Now turkey) due to the Armenian Genocide my great grandparents, who were orphans) arrived in Aleppo. My parents are from Syria, we live in America now, but, no where in the world is better than this place, Aleppo, plus the Falafel is the best here.
i love this beautiful city my mom from aleppo and i visited aleppo more than once it is a beautiful none stress town good people and very good food i have been living in the usa most of my life but i always miss aleppo
I'm a Georgian student, I visited this year Syria, Halab. I was studying Arabic language in the Halab University.
When I watched this video I started crying really... I love Halab so much, all the time I think about my beautiful days spent in Halab. I miss Syria...Syrian people are so hospitable .
yes i ve been to damascus, hallab, and hums. and i agree with lattakiantiger, some places for the younger generation are cool and as modern as in any western countries. i experienced both sides, the villages in jabal al hoss (1 hour drive from hallab), to the modern life of Damascus city and its trendy people. oh, in Hums, al dablan street, i found many trendy and good looking young people walking along the al dablan street. I love Syria!!!!
i am sure they are aware of that yaa akhi. but u must alsi understand that what tourists/visitors want to experience the most is the these kind of things, i mean i wudnt go to syria if i want to hang out in cool groovy places ...i d fly to the UK :) but i think the ancient side of syria is still the best experience one cud really looking forward experiencing. i love my visit to Damas, Hallab and Hums..wud love to revisit Syria again and again. salamet.
Robert Silah family turned to be all of them are scam artists, just last month the mother (Lucy) and father (Alexander) scammed an old lady in Aleppo her home and money after they fled USA, claiming they are going to take care of her and her disabled son. of course the older brother in Aleppo (Robert) also involved in this scam. this family are simply criminals.....

I'm an american of italian descent without one drop of lebanese blood You just assumed that I was, which shows your own level of ignorance and inability to discern information before just assuming what suited your own stupidity If you had a brain in your head, you would have taken time to think about what I said and find out more, before just hurling your insults. Stop making up shit? How about you start learning how to construct a properly written sentence?I don't hate syria, you just want me to.
That should be "f---k assad and his "goverment". Unfortunately he's managed to indoctrinate his country to a point where they believe him, and the rest of the poison he delievers.
My mother is a Syrian Jew so I have always been fascinated with Syrian culture. I tried to join a Syrian dating website one time but I was rejected, the webmaster said the site was for Syrian Muslims and Christians only. That gave me an indication of what life would be like in Syria for a Jew. It was not always that way, however.
Thanks for sharing that information. Now that's probably a perfect example of just how it would be. "Muslims and Chiristians only" - disgusting fascists. My best friend is from Beirut, and his mother is a Syrian Jew from Damascus. I once asked her what life was like for Jews in Syria, and she said she didn't want to talk about it. She almost went to jail trying to leave syria to move to lebanon to get married. Her own couldn't attend her wedding. Fuck syria.
That is right my fried, Syria was not always rejecting Jews. Jews were best treated in the Muslim world. You were now rejected from all that society, who had treated your grandfathers very very well, because of what your coreligionists have done, in the killing and torturing of Palestinians, the illegal settlements every day, the assasinations, and the continious, restless, lying, and dirty actions of Jews.
ok ppl enough forget about the past we're going to fight or father's fights we will never finish but if we cooperated and became friends istead of fighting and destroying each other we would have been now an advanced culture but we keep fighting destroying and as you see till now no cure for aids or cancer
stealing? wtf? do u know who we r? even my family roots r circessian which is a place in abhazia/georgia. till my grandparents we still spoke circessian language. in turkey many of ppl like that or converted more earlier times to islam and forgot the roots. so its our culture too. arabs lied us about islam and tried to give their own culture with the name of religion. so our ottoman empire assimilated ppl with respect of religion.
after hundreds of years r they all still christians? yes. nobody even did torture to u for changing religion. look at other empires, england and spain adn what they did to the publics they dominated and how shameful r them publics now like native americans indians africans. they fucked them all with ruining their culture and religions. nobody did it to u.
but the empire wud choose to convert them all, threat them all or kill them all instead of asking more tax lol. u can not judge an empire according to todays conditions. on ottomans days all other empires did thousand time worse to others. ottoman was the only country which allows 3 of the religions inside with sigagogs and churchs while europe's christian courts was killing jews when they found
I understand what you mean but its not as simple as to say that i can assure you it was not a pinic mass emigration happened from Lebanon and Syria of christian ppl.
oh dont get me wrong in syria christian ppl today live a good life and I know this becuse my mother is Syrian christian but this to more with the goverment dont persecute us and syria is a secular country and ppl united.
i feel bad for christian who live in egypt and iraq there it really sucks for them.
lol it really gave me a good laugh. even syrias elections r not fair. u must use ur votes as secret the choose whoever u want. its not a free country. turkey christians and jews live much better than syria lol u can be so sure of that. and u must be retarded to think syria is better than turkey at laws. u listen stupid kurds propoganda and believe whatever shit u hear. even turkeys old law have been taken from switzerland in 1923, i suggest u to find on internet todays one. at least we r SECULAR
Syria is secular there is no state religion like turkey. I am not talking about turkey today I mean Ottoman turkey before the nationalists came to power.
I dont like alot of kurds either they supported americans invading iraq and want the same to happen to Syria.
why should i listen to their propaganda? they are just as warmongering as zionists alot of the time. i did not mean to offend you or turkey i was pointing out historic facts.
of course ottoman was religious and i proud of ottoman eventhou im not muslim. according to its time conditions it can be considered as fair and it was big, powerful, multi cultural. but we also wanted it to end eventhou englishs wanted to recognise ottoman instead of turkey after they lost against us. but we built our new country and happy with that.
we dont have problems with kurds at all actually, we dislike terrorist ones only. we have about 15 million kurds and pkk party couldnt even get 2 million votes in turkey lol. that shows turkeys kurds dont support killers of turks terror organisation pkk. we also have arabs and they r quite okey with us
when my early family converted to muslim in old times, russians hated us and we had tortures from georgians and russians, our own brothers hates us and we ran away to anatolia, we r nearlt 2 million in turkey now. who did torture to u for ur religion?
Gracias Aleppo
I went two months ago. It was great. As an american I was so happy and glad I didn't believe the my governments propaganda against the is great country and it's people. Syria, so much history, people, civilization. !!!!!!!

lol it really gave me a good laugh. even syrias elections r not fair. u must use ur votes as secret the choose whoever u want. its not a free country. turkey christians and jews live much better than syria lol u can be so sure of that. and u must be retarded to think syria is better than turkey at laws. u listen stupid kurds propoganda and believe whatever shit u hear. even turkeys old law have been taken from switzerland in 1923, i suggest u to find on internet todays one. at least we r SECULAR
aslizz 3 years ago
Syria is secular there is no state religion like turkey. I am not talking about turkey today I mean Ottoman turkey before the nationalists came to power.
I dont like alot of kurds either they supported americans invading iraq and want the same to happen to Syria.
why should i listen to their propaganda? they are just as warmongering as zionists alot of the time. i did not mean to offend you or turkey i was pointing out historic facts.
SSNPFOREVER 3 years ago
of course ottoman was religious and i proud of ottoman eventhou im not muslim. according to its time conditions it can be considered as fair and it was big, powerful, multi cultural. but we also wanted it to end eventhou englishs wanted to recognise ottoman instead of turkey after they lost against us. but we built our new country and happy with that.
aslizz 3 years ago
we dont have problems with kurds at all actually, we dislike terrorist ones only. we have about 15 million kurds and pkk party couldnt even get 2 million votes in turkey lol. that shows turkeys kurds dont support killers of turks terror organisation pkk. we also have arabs and they r quite okey with us

when my early family converted to muslim in old times, russians hated us and we had tortures from georgians and russians, our own brothers hates us and we ran away to anatolia, we r nearlt 2 million in turkey now. who did torture to u for ur religion?
aslizz 3 years ago
The Turks.. they killed all Christians. The Christians were living in peace with the muslims until you invaded.
oundjian14 3 years ago
