If you want to upload your files to youtube i subjest trying downloading Winff (freeware alows you to change the format of video and music files) and just change it to avi mp4- whatever.

The worst thing about jing is that it slowed down my pc something fierce. Also as mentioned it saves the video in a pretty much unusable format. It is really meant to be a gateway drug to using their pay service which you can just upload directly to and share the links from there.

@2010MCFC No. The .swf that is saved with Jing includes the player embedded and the last time I tried all the conversion softwares couldn't convert it back.

Camstudio is not as nice but there it is much more advance and useful than this.

So far no free screen recorder is better than camstudio...

When you save the video's, you have the option to place it in which area you want. like desktop, documents, applications, etc.. Just place it where you want, then go to that file. I suggest putting it in Desktop.

@live4mac I turn off annotations because of all the crap people put on their videos. The description... yes I read that however not everyone does and so I just felt the need to comment on that. Also you only commented that it would not work with youtube. So you didn't tell them that it has the embedded player as well. There is a great use for jing but not that. Also you can edit the file if you have Flash and really know how to use it.
