  • hurffff deeeerp?drool drool?

  • Awesome. I have two PT100s. One from my grandma and one from eBay. I am interested in circuit bending, but I wouldn't dare try it on a PT100 since its obviously a discontinued model. I have some newer keyboards by Casio in the LK and CTK series, and I'm wondering if these would be difficult to bend. Also, you gotta love that demo music from the PT100. I've been listening to it since I was like two years old!

  • @alexweb8 Alex, I circuit bend, and I actually have the most luck with late model keyboards. True, these are discontinued models, but they still trade regularly, even constantly on ebay for moderate prices. My first project was a Yamaha PSS-130, and I'm still having a lot of fun with it. Yes, there's always significant risk of it never making sound ever again, but if you follow some basic guidelines, many circuits are more robust than you might think.

  • hey I really can't' figure out how to turn that main circuit board over, it won't come off even after i remove all the visible screws...any ideas?

  • That keyboard finally dies! xD

  • The Casio PT-100 was one of the last and most advanced square wave synthesis keyboards made in the late '80s, before everything went over to MIDI FM synthesis and then to digital sampling. It has a very very unique "sci-fi" sound, especially on the rhythm-maker.

  • leave the keyboard alone i was trying to listen to that song!!

  • poor keyboard

  • Did you attach any knobs or switches to activate those BENDS?

  • Im about to with my first attempt at doing a bend, any suggestions?

  • @IncubusUnited1218 About 24 seconds in it sounds like you have a pretty nice distortion going on. If you added a throw switch in between those two connections you could have a distortion switch.

  • @FlippinFlaves If you used a knob instead of a switch, could you gradually add distortion?
