Help! Im not sure if my anole is drinking water or not, I dont want him to die, ive tried doing the trick where you put the water on your finger and it drops onto his nose, but he wont drink/lick it.

@SmugglerJustPwnedYou don't worry anoles don't drink water. You have to spray the cage with a water bottle 2 daily because the lap up water when the climb. Keep the water in the tank still becuase of humidity

@purplenurple57 They do drink water its just that they lick the moisture off of the walls of your tank. They cant really see it in the dish, so just spray the walls every 2 days.

Females do have dewlaps it's just smaller and rare for them to show it. And yea yours is a male and brown is sometimes thier normal color but majority they say it's green they normally turn brown by stress or lack of heat or to much of it.

sorry man but you need A LOT more plants in there. green anoles seldom hide under ground cover. they spend most of their time in vegatation.

I have a question. I can't seem to keep the humidity levels up on my tank! D: What can I do to prevent it? I have a screen top cover and I use a UVB light and heat light. And i mist the terrarium with a mister

And look at some size comparisons from Female Green Anoles and Male Green Anoles. Males are larger then Females, but other than that it's a Male. ;)

CHRISLIKESAIRSOFT, If you buy a uvb bulb it can cost around $50, if you buy a uva about $7 - $10, if you buy a big long UVB bulb from lets say,Reptisun, it can go from $30 - $100.Oh and a uva basking bulb is about $10 - $12 in USA by the way. Trust me I have many reptiles"3 Anoles" sold many! Oh and lovely Green Anole!
