what exactly do you do to go from grayscale to color? ive seen other methods, but the one i use sometimes can be annoying and is hard to get the right color. (i only have ps elements 3 but so far almost everything i find in ps tutorials even apply for me)

@delbinfang I used the saturate tool, you have the make sure that you've set it to "colorize" or else the picture will be grey. Then you can mark the areas you want to have a different colour and do the same or just go to levels and change the tone (:

Im 99% sure that this tool is in elements too.

@veroqawsed Dude, for hair, I would take a thin brush, and depending on the type of hair, use different shades of light gray, at about 50-75% opacity, and paint them all in parallel, and change it's color later.

also im not sure about the angle on the back legs, they dont look right to me but it depends on what the unicorn is doing.

I'm 17 and I've been drawing my whole life, And i still practice every single day, from real life to imagination, and I read books about it. If you still didn't get it i take it very seriously. People said my drawings are amazing but I never even thought about selling anything. That's far from being my goal. So please.

@UerMom I said it's a unicorn because unicorns have horns and depending on what kind of unicorn you're looking at, usually have short hair and their tails are the way that kala had drawn it in this vid. Plus they're usually abnormal colors.

there IS a smudge tool, but when i draw like this i almost dont use it : )

to get to smooth blending a use a speciel brush, that works when you have a tablet, else you have to change opacity all the time.
