The reason for all of the nasty things is because she's pretty much becoming psycho as she turns into this character and it's becoming a part of her. It was nominated because of Natalie's impressive and mesmerizing performance and because it's so different and it wasn't afraid to be different. Nowadays, we don't have the privilege of seeing and original work of art.

AS MUCH! as id like to call this a stupid art film with an actress that was overcompensation, i just can't. This is maybe the most brilliant peace i have ever watched. It's so poetic in a thousand different ways, and the thoughts that run through your head while watching it can't be explained. Period.

This film sucked shit, you see, because it only has its basic premise to fill up a two hours, they end up filling screentime with scenes of female masturbation and lesbians drilling >_>
And Portman's performance? Don't get me started on that one.
