Apart from the initial cost it would be almost impossible to equal westerns made over 40yrs ago such as the Dollar trillogies, High Noon, Shane, Once Upon A Time in the West, and other greats like The Big Country and so many others.

Its not that the Western is dead but to make a film to equal any of the above would be hellish expensive and nigh on impossible

Yes, she is a beautiful woman, and she really was perfect for the part. I wouldn't say that she was any more heartless of a character than any of the others, but we're so used to Western female characters as being nothing but a pretty, submissive and mothering, clean type (very bland, very small roles) that a woman fighting for survival by all means rather than going to church and nursing her old father is quite a shock to the audience.

When I watch this movie, time stands still. Every detail masterfully crafted. Its been said Henry Fonda showed up wearing brown contacts fearing his blue eyes wouldnt be right for the role of a ruthless henchmen. Sergio the director said NO, I want the steely blue eyes thats what I paid for. And in the final shootout is Harmonic (Charles Bronson) pissed, ticked off, even angry like in every typical western of that era? NO, hes smiling, only Sergio would think of that, just incredible.

The filmmaker understood what he wanted and used her feminine beauty to represent part of his opinion of feminine beauty. She's a pretty face and her range is almost non-existent. But hey, a pretty face is a pretty face. Supposedly she was good in "Sandra."

All that aside, her character didn't care for her "family". She played a prostitute in this film.

She's nearly as famous as Sofia Loren and Gina lollobrigida world wide.
