That is really cool... although, they shouldn't be praying to Mary, they should be praying to her son: Jesus Christ. It's almost like they think Mary is a god or something... Mary was merely chosen by God to be Christ's mother... it was Jesus who saved us... Mary was just the proud momma who watched her son (& God's Son!) from birth to death on the cross. I think that, if Mary's in heaven, she would be listening to those prayers and say "no, it's Jesus you need to speak to, I'm just the mother!"

ah no thats a false statement. Catholics don't worship Mary. They just pray for her to intervene for us. Christians can pray for eachother (1 Tim. 2:1-4) so yeah Mary can pray for us. Those prayers are also to express respect, such as was done in Luke 1:28 and Luke 1:42. Mary doesnt draw more a crowd from Catholics than Jesus and Catholics don't worship her.
