I think there ought to be more international play... if the AFL promoted it a bit more, it could catch on pretty well in North America. As a non-Australian though, I think that the AFL ought to promote the game internationally under a different name (for example, association football is called "football" in countries where it is dominant but "soccer" elsewhere to avoid confusion with other games called football). I think something along the lines of "ausball" would be appropriate internationally

i think its safe to say that australia has dominated rugby union in the past. we have had some major restructuring of our teams lately, losing alot of our experience. we are at the beginning of a new cycle of domination....

just like the geelong cats 6-7 years ago. they took on alot of new blood and trained and refined.... we willl get to the top of the rugby union again in 3 years.
