Aw man. He said the future of Slipknot will never be as dark as it used to be. Does that mean its going to be happy metal from now on? Hopefully it won't be softer than AHIG. I want some HEAVY shit from Slipknot. Stuff like Welcome, The Shape, No life, Everything ends... hmm. I can't wait to see what the next album will sound like. Whether its soft or not... I will still love it. It would just be nice to hear some really heavy stuff like the old days for once :)

@Nitrous1081 dude there's a shit tonne of bands making heavy ass music, go find them... stop expecting slipknot to go back to where they were, cause they will not. they've done it, it's out of them, they've evolved and will continue to do so.

Go see them live then. When I saw them December '09 they played more from Slipknot than any other album IIRC. E.g. they played Prosthetics and ended on Only One. Only played Dead Memories and Psychosocial off of AHIG as well. Was such a good gig...but basically if they just had the same heavy-heavy-heavy-heavy, there would be people moaning that it's exactly the same as the last album.
