Reminds me so much of when i was 8yrs old and my older sister played it all the time... great memories of a golden age where i grew up without knowing the meaning of worry,pressure and violence that our kids grow up with today ;-)
Brilliant music, have liked this since back in the day. I have a 4:20 long version with a repeat to fade that is truly awesome. Under the novelty vocals this is a seriously great piece of jazz/pop music. Thanks for posting!
@iano39 I agree,classic one hit `novelty song`.I've still got this original recording on a `scratchy worn out 45',as you say great fade-out with wailing sax.You would have had to live in England,in the midlands to appreciate the taxi controllers accent.
