  • WOW!

    Excellent note-for-note cover!

    Live anywhere near South Jersey?

  • @Guitarz1970

thanks, no where near South Jersey mate

  • @atlanticwall hey that ThePtdmaster is just a trolly little dick thtat was a really gooooood cover

  • 2:17 lick is bad ass

  • dude your still on this? get over it

  • well the point in saying i live in seattle is jimi hendrix was born here and because of that he is extremely famous here

  • pro.

  • great work

  • Dude this is perfect and the tone is just as good as the record...respect dude! Hopefully I'll be that good someday!

  • @Danevader2

    thanks man!

  • @Ptdmaster you are an idiot and I think I speak for everyone when I say you need to go drop dead. This cover is beast and you're just jealous so you and your dog can shove those $10 guitars up your ass and piss off. Disgraceful.

  • Pretty good sir :) !

  • Teach me dood!!!

  • @Levygerards1 troll?

  • @ThePtdmaster

you and your dog play guitar AND live in Seattle - I'm Impressed mate!!!!

  • @atlanticwall yes we both play guitar non generic one though

  • @ThePtdmaster He aint that bad, I could master a vibrato in 2 weeks of practice that's all he needs a little more practice and this cover would be flawless IMO

  • @POTFORTY2 i know but where i live you don't mangle Jimi. also he had a very thick distinctive vibrato i did not mean to have caps when i typed that ether so i looks allot more dramatic then it is.

  • @ThePtdmaster What the Hell is wrong with you? THis was a perfectly good cover. Yer, a little robotic, but his playing was great.

  • @ThePtdmaster hey if you know to play, why don t u put your cover on you-tube?I ll tell u why!Because u can t even learn how to hold it!And know u are frustrated!

  • @ThePtdmaster Wow, I am very impressed, you are obviously a good guitar player, I mean, one who thinks so highly of themselves must be. I couldn't help but notice you don't have any videos of yourself playing guitar. Now why is that? I'm sure we would all love to hear your amazing talent....

  • @ThePtdmaster U MAD BRO???

  • @ThePtdmaster yeah i live in detriot, and what was the point of saying you live in seatle? haha

  • @ThePtdmaster Why dont u just play more with your pokemon shinies...

  • @ThePtdmaster Amin to that !

  • the low price of the guitar is no excuse

  • that was fuckin awesome

  • Pretty good, though I think you need to tie the notes together better, you also need to adjust the sound of the guitar to a higher pitch or something. Something is a bit off, but nonetheless - you deserve a shit load of credit if you can play a song like this.

  • AMAZING

  • accuracy mastery!

  • Done very well ! outstanding job !

  • GREAT JOB!!!

  • HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN PLAYING

    AND CAN YOU MAKE TABS

    BRILLIANT!

  • got a lesson for this? geart video by the way

  • Hey man great playing. Tip: Hit the strings harder on some of those bends just like jimi, make that strat scream.

  • How long you been playing?

  • Good job!!!

  • is that a backing track or are you just playing guitar over jimi's

  • sounds like we're playing the same version, but you paid more attention to detail. sounds great! Keep on playing and have fun.

  • Your good kid, keep it up, just your guitar sounds like it should be plugged into a nice big amp, Anyways, keep at it, dont let any put you down and buy a kit to directly connect your guitar to your computer for perfect sounds when recording, it helped me a bit, just gotta return my amp to be a lil more clear (gotta love the "gain" feature).

  • @GibsonAnime

Thanks mate, I did record it directly into a pc through a line 6 device. I've got a 120w amp for playing live, but it's not the ideal device for recording youtube stuff with. ;-)

  • @atlanticwall Ya, i just got a Roland 60 at the moment, playing my gibson too before i work, but anyways, keep it up, hope u get some good gigs soon.

  • just shows you dont need to spend hundreds on gear to get a great sound.

massive respect, great cover. jimi would be proud.

  • Woah, wait... That's a Strat copy? Did you swap out the pickups and shit? That's a fucking gem, if not.

  • dead on

  • Awesome, what an inspiration!!

  • wesfield elctric sounds great

  • that cant be a strat copy....sounds terrific, what amp are you using?

  • WoooooW, awsome!!

  • greetings from oz! I like the rendition a lot, you definitely have the licks down but the timing of said licks is sometimes a bit off. Just keep feelin' it bro!

  • pretty good! Lovely sound! What I don't quite get tho is why so many good guitarists like yourself do exact copies? Hendrix was all about NOT COPYING himself and rather challenging his own tunes and his own creativeness.. And also I think you would get more feeling through if you'd dare to improvise, cause your skills are good enough to do so:)

Also feel free to check out my own sloppy improvised version:)

  • @biorag

yeah, I reckon you could be right there man

  • hi ! look at mine and tell me what you're thinking about it !!! It's all improvise !!! I think i put feeling too !!! see ya !!!!

  • Hi !! look my version it's all improvise and i think i put some feeling too !! tell me what you think !!!! see ya !!!

  • I agree for sure about the improvising, because thats what the blues is all about.

Hendrix certainly was original, but I find this song you can really see that its quite simlar to T-Bone Walker's "Don't Throw Your Love On Me So Strong", I mean the intro is practically the same, and quite of few of the main licks are right from it. But then again, Hendrix did learn from the cat in person!

  • @biorag i agree with chu but if youre always improvising, you cant learn that much. i think a better alternativ would be to actually learn the song first and then do your own improv. otheriwise, it will end up sounding nothing like the song. im currently learning this ive learned up to about 2 mins. but i throw my own stuff in there too if i think ti will make it sound better, but if you aksed me to play it exact i could. but none the less i utterly agree with you.

  • @biorag well learning solo's note by note helps you to store some licks. specially frome the master hendrix

  • I'm very desapointed to see it's possible to play like that only with a second hand copy ;-)

Very good job i will use your video to learn to play with the rithm.

  • that sounds terrible out of key and out of time. worst cover i ever heard. haha no really that was awesome im jealous would love 2 play like that well done

  • Very very good cover , what s a sound ...

  • excellent man. a pleasure to listen to you play. a tip, though. try to loosen up fingers a bit, you're a bit stiff in the left hand. i sometimes soak my hands in warm water for a couple of minutes before playing. just a friendly advice. hope to see more hendrix covers form you soon, cheers...

  • @HendrixCikes

thanks for the tip ' sounds a good idea that ' I'll give that a try next time... cheers ;-)

  • vert tasty.

  • Hey man this is probably the best cover of red house on youtube! What did you use tabs or is this by ear?

  • @BulletFrenzy543

thanks mate ! yes by ear, no tabs

  • @atlanticwall by ear - that's the best way to learn. It makes your ears strong. Then again, you can learn faster with tabs.

  • @BulletFrenzy543 It's good but check out Gary Moore version!

  • damn white boy your good

  • @JAVARI1000

    hey, thanks man !

  • That was Beautiful!!!

  • hey thanks !

  • Nice work player!

  • Great!

  • very excellent try but need to whatever u call when u make it sound unstable a lil more in the start part

  • Awesome!!! very good playing, very much feeling.

bit i think there is a little bit too much reverb, its sort of cool but i have to get used to used to it:P

    awesome playing though!!

  • yeah, you could be right about the reverb, cheers anyway mate!!

  • Really feeling this (L)

  • cheers !!

  • Cool!
