I see a lot of Michael Biehn (THE action icon of the '80s) in both RAD Spencer and Super Joe. Solid Snake was also partically based on him, specifically as Kyle Reese, also with some Snake Plissken influence.
I'm cool with the 80s inspirations these guys chose for the character designs. After all, a lot of people overlook this; but I think the 80s style is as usable and contemporary as any other style. And I love the concept art. But just out of curiosity I'd like to ask; why is the main character wearing casual shoes?
your absolutely right! the 80s brought us many wonderful things. there was a willingness to create, explore and be original. sadly now everything has to be the same. fear to lose money has created a very bland entertainment world,
Yes. I agree. A lot of things these days (thank God not everything) are just not very original or inspirational. The massive number of audiences expect stuff that they can actually find interest in. And on top of that, there's a lot of things we can learn from the old school things. Because from those old things, lies possibilities for new and inspirational things to be created.
I like how those guys elaborate on how much of a pleasure and an honor it is to be working with Capcom; one of the greatest game making companies ever known. Must be a dream come true. And those guys are lucky to be blessed with those kinds of privileges. A lot of us however, are deprived of those things. In other words, there are some dreams that just don't come true no matter how hard we work for them. But fortune smiles upon these guys.
Dammit man, I'm only 30. I can't believe that gamers don't know about this game. I don't mean any snobbishness or pretensions, I guess I'm settling into the fact that I grew up on this game and others like it, and if you are 10-20 right now, I'd only say; check out this game dudes. It's a classic. Thanks for the video.
Totally man, im 20 years old and the first time i played this game was about 5 years ago, I had a NES, but i could never Had this game...It's totally a classic, it's so addictive...I love it
