Lol the tower isn't even medvihs retard, the tower belons to the elwynn forest humans, and darkshire. His wife is actually half orc.. and more with the alliance then she is with the horde. I would say the tower belongs to his father or mother, if he now died. and they are both members withing the alliance. His best friend was king llane? am I right. And as mentioned, the keep is built with human architecture and does not really belong to medvih

The Karazhan tower do belong to the Alliance since they are the "heirs" of it after MEvdih's death. But it's haunted and we do not want it so the kirin tor are there now, and the kirin tor are created by an old alliance mage so... the tower belongs pertty much to us

So? The keep is built with human architecture, and so the tower does not really belong to medvih, nor the city. It belongs to The Humans of elwynn forest and Darkshire. And so on, Medvih is Human, same with his feather. MEdvih's mother is one of the greatest mages within the alliance, now shes dead I believe.

He opened the portal for the burning legion and more evil stuff, however, once he died, he was later resurected by his mother. This is when he was no longer cursed, therefore he was good, and saved Mount Hyjal, just to find redemption from the evil deeds he had done.
Karazhan always gave me that creepy abandoned funfair feel...you know that in this very tower that Medivh practically began the "funfair" of Azeroth by opening the Dark Portal and starting the First War

Karazhan was indeed awesome: Stable your horse with Attumen, have a reception with Moroes, obtain a blessing from the local Virtuous Maiden. After that, attend a random show that's been put together by the staff. Got any questions? ask the curator, but pay attention not to carry any ashes of some guardian on your way there, as Nightbane might spot you. Feel free to play some chess with the landlord. There might be a Terestian or a familiar Shade between you and both Netherspite or The "Prince".

I fucking love this song. I joined when BC came out and hit 70 when LK came out so I ran Kara just today. I heard this music and fell in love with the raid. Now I wanna go back to just sit there and listen to it.

I always adored Medivh's lore, and seeing Karazhan, the dread tower of the fallen Guardian, finally realized, was thrilling. I remember walking in and just thinking, woooaaaah.... this place is just steeped in lore.
i remember, about half way through BC, so many people hated Kara and called it a mistake that it effected guild progression negatively...somehow...now I love Kara as much as the next guy, but come on, would you people make up your minds, almost everyone used to consider Kara a black sheep and now suddenly the same people are praising it, why cant people make up there minds?
@Matt561 most people ive talked to said they hated Kara because it was too long and tedious not hard, and made it an "inconvenience" to gear new guild members, you may have had a hard time, I personally never did, nor was I in a top end guild either
Oh when it was the first raid you ever did, like for my entire guild it was hard. Your speaking from half way thru bc, we started raiding it 3 months after launch. You got to remember to look at things in perspective.
Karazhan was so awesome. I miss BC a lot, the raids were soooo much better... but I suppose wotLK was ok, I mean it's fun to go back and use smaller groups and not get in as much trouble with BC nowadays. Two-manning Karazhan is fun, and I recommend it to any well-geared player.
I mean, Icecrown Citadel is badass. Too badass nearly.
But this raid was just so 'peaceful'. You could attend to a party, battle different bosses in three different theatres, converse with dead guests/workers, play chess, and so on.
I mean, it was epic. That tower was abandoned even since Vanilla WoW then suddenly just went alive. And hell, i'd trade half of the dungeons in Wotlk for a Hc version on Karazhan in Cataclysm.
@ffxdanzop well, he lore isnt that mest up because the "lich king" didnt "die". The Lich King is Ner'Zhul's spirit in the helm. You actually killed "Arthas" and not "the lich king" and the helm was placed on bolvar fordrigan (idk to spell) because he was strong willed and could maintain the scourge. Because of the dragons flame, he was as yellow and his glowing eyes and the gem in the helm became yellow, thus setting up for catyclisam. So, there is still a lich king, just a more good one. ^^
@Jarrasek99 well true they are merged but you only killed the body, arthas, while the soul of the lich king lives on in the helm, and eventually merged with bolvar fordrigon, but you did have a point =)
@cdiegorodriguez Yeah I also heard a wild rumor that says when Arthas merged with Ner'zul, Arthas absorbed him and stole his power but then he started to become weaker as the Lich King was born.
@cdiegorodriguez arthas killed nerzuhl and his last human spirit at the end ..so arthas is the lich king ..read the books if you want to know the story^^

@deusirae76 yep totaly true, it was hard to get blue gear first, than few epic's from kara first bosses and hc dungeons, rep rewards, and then u were aible to clear kara, and move to grull and magy :D
That would cheapen it. It's mysticalness comes from the fact that you haven't run it for a long time. What you really miss is that "old" feeling.
But I do have a suggestion if you want to really play Kara again. Make a 70 toon and start gearing him up via old school raiding. Do LFM Kara ONLY 70's (70-79). It's not the same, but it's as close as you will get. Don't take help from 80s and learn the fights and teach them to the newbies.
They sped up Wot LK too much, Gundrak and a new dragon sanctum was planned before Icecrown but nono, they rather release Icecrown and let ppl wait for weeks between each wing and then be bored the few months before Cataclysm. Which probably comes closer to summer.
they did do Gundrak, they just scrapped the idea of making it a raid before the beta was over, also, the other dragon sanctums opening was just fan made speculation
it sucks that almost no one doing Kara nowadays... New players just cant do it. because its extremely hard to find a raid group... truly i miss the old WoW
I remember doing it at 60. Where you actually needed to pay attention or you die instantly. Now 80's if they even MAKE it that far think they can brute force the twins down. Ha.
My guild and I did it, but then again, we read about the fights before going in, so we didnt even try to brute force twins, hard enough without being idiots lol

Probably because they want to fit in. My bro loved Kara from the start, though. Even /I/ fell in love with Kara when I finally got to do it. c:

@CBleck We hated Kara because at the time it was really really hard. that was the first raid for a lot of people.

@Matt561 most people ive talked to said they hated Kara because it was too long and tedious not hard, and made it an "inconvenience" to gear new guild members, you may have had a hard time, I personally never did, nor was I in a top end guild either

Oh when it was the first raid you ever did, like for my entire guild it was hard. Your speaking from half way thru bc, we started raiding it 3 months after launch. You got to remember to look at things in perspective.

Karazhan was so awesome. I miss BC a lot, the raids were soooo much better... but I suppose wotLK was ok, I mean it's fun to go back and use smaller groups and not get in as much trouble with BC nowadays. Two-manning Karazhan is fun, and I recommend it to any well-geared player.

Clearly the best raid instance in whole WoW.
I mean, Icecrown Citadel is badass. Too badass nearly.
But this raid was just so 'peaceful'. You could attend to a party, battle different bosses in three different theatres, converse with dead guests/workers, play chess, and so on.
I mean, it was epic. That tower was abandoned even since Vanilla WoW then suddenly just went alive. And hell, i'd trade half of the dungeons in Wotlk for a Hc version on Karazhan in Cataclysm.

@ffxdanzop well, he lore isnt that mest up because the "lich king" didnt "die". The Lich King is Ner'Zhul's spirit in the helm. You actually killed "Arthas" and not "the lich king" and the helm was placed on bolvar fordrigan (idk to spell) because he was strong willed and could maintain the scourge. Because of the dragons flame, he was as yellow and his glowing eyes and the gem in the helm became yellow, thus setting up for catyclisam. So, there is still a lich king, just a more good one. ^^

@Jarrasek99 well true they are merged but you only killed the body, arthas, while the soul of the lich king lives on in the helm, and eventually merged with bolvar fordrigon, but you did have a point =)

@cdiegorodriguez Yeah I also heard a wild rumor that says when Arthas merged with Ner'zul, Arthas absorbed him and stole his power but then he started to become weaker as the Lich King was born.

@puppetdawn I beg to differ Kara was great but Sunwell had to have been the best. And the lich king was nothing next to KJ in terms of boss fight

@puppetdawn I wouldn't say it was "peaceful" at all, back then during earlier TBC it was really difficult with 70 blue gear, it was not nerfed at that time.

@deusirae76 yep totaly true, it was hard to get blue gear first, than few epic's from kara first bosses and hc dungeons, rep rewards, and then u were aible to clear kara, and move to grull and magy :D

That would cheapen it. It's mysticalness comes from the fact that you haven't run it for a long time. What you really miss is that "old" feeling.
But I do have a suggestion if you want to really play Kara again. Make a 70 toon and start gearing him up via old school raiding. Do LFM Kara ONLY 70's (70-79). It's not the same, but it's as close as you will get. Don't take help from 80s and learn the fights and teach them to the newbies.

They sped up Wot LK too much, Gundrak and a new dragon sanctum was planned before Icecrown but nono, they rather release Icecrown and let ppl wait for weeks between each wing and then be bored the few months before Cataclysm. Which probably comes closer to summer.

they did do Gundrak, they just scrapped the idea of making it a raid before the beta was over, also, the other dragon sanctums opening was just fan made speculation

I remember doing it at 60. Where you actually needed to pay attention or you die instantly. Now 80's if they even MAKE it that far think they can brute force the twins down. Ha.

Wotlk suck. B.C. was ok. nothing compaes, however, to vanilla WoW...when you had to WORK YOUR ASS OFF to get anything.
