I kinda can't see why people don't like the movie Small Soldiers. It was a Joe Dante film. Had the critics not seen Gremlins? Small Soldiers was basically Gremlins with toy soldiers updated for the 1990's when you boil it down. Yeah, it was a marketing tool for a line of really crappy Soldier dolls and slightly better Monster figures, but that was the 1990's in a nutshell. It was the time of Duke Nukem 3D, The Simpsons, the OJ Simpson Trials, Nintendo, and The start of the computer age.

@albusron3490 Wow, I can say how much I agree with that statement, I was born in 1992 so I really only got to enjoy the later half of the 90s but one thing I do remember from my childhood was this movie, I miss the charm that movies from this time had. Movies like small soldiers sort of embody the hopes and fears of what the coming years would bring, with PCs becoming more prevalent through out the world and the field of robotics becoming a wide and diverse field. I'm glad I was born in the 90s.
