I'm gay and I don't like HRC.

The HRC is one of the few special interest groups I truly support. I'm not a big fan of a lot of special interest groups since it oftentimes seems to be a way for the far left or far right of a certain issue to take hold.

The occurrence or frequency of something should not be a determinant in how "natural" or moral it is. If it happens on a regular basis, it's natural, even if it's just 2%. Morality should be based on whether or not someone is harmed. No one is harmed by you or I being straight or gay. It's none of their business.

Homophobia in legislation is ANYTHING BUT conservative! Barry Goldwater, a pro-gay Republican himself who started the New Right, would abhor how hateful his own party is now.

Awesome! I'm only 21, so there's no doubt that we will have gay marriage legalized, at least in a few major states and recognized in perhaps many others, by the end of my life, if not legalized across the country. This is a transcendent issue of our time, and it's time to speak out. Speak out against the fundies and the hatemongers! Tell them there's nothing "Christian" about being a homophobe or transphobe.

Do a simple wiki search, and you will discover that PLENTY of societies had homosexuals and homosexual behavior as a normal practice. Yet they did not crumble because of it! They thrived in spite of it. The Roman Empire did not fall b/c of homosexuals. It fell for a multitude of reasons.

It's time to debunk the liars and tell the American people the truth!! The APA took homosexuality of its DSM list several decades ago! They realized it was not a disorder. It's just nature.
