I've had a weird bug with Unity. When I enable Compiz I can't hold onto windows with the mouse without the mouse "hand" sliding all over the place and losing it's position on the window title bar. What really sucks is that once this bug happens it's permanent even if I uninstall compiz.
Any ideas? I haven't heard of anyone else having this issue.
Hi, today i upgraded to 11.10 and had a strange problem when enabling Opacify on Compiz Accessibility features. Suddenly i could not use the "O" and "o" keys! No matter what i did, it was impossible to use them. Only with caps locked i could write O or by using shift key... I even had problems logging in because of that. In the end i realized it was because of the Opacify feature on Compiz. Phew! only after disabling the Opacify i got back the use of my keys...
@doctorstefantiron that is just REALLY weird. I have absolutely no idea how that could possibly work/happen - especially since Compiz settings are per-user, and at the login-screen, they aren't even loaded. So there's no way a Compiz setting could affect the Ubuntu login screen.
So, I'm tempted to not believe you, but if it IS true, that is truly freaky, and you should file a bug report.
@pkanoob1 couldn't say... I always just use the default.
The couple times I installed some mods, it was a java program that modified the Minecraft Java executables. On Ubuntu, the Minecraft Java executables are stored in /home/username/.minecraft, sometimes abbreviated as ~/.minecraft. In Windows, they are stored in something like /users/username/AppData/Roaming/.minecraft (I think it's cool how they stick to the .minecraft name (note the dot)).
