The syclone is a sonoma with other GM vehicles put in it. Turbo from mitsubishi, 700R tranny, AWD system from the safari van, and a specially built 4300 vortec. So yeah, you could actually replicate it, it would just take a lot of patience.

Its going to take more than just the Engine man, you need the transmision the proporly geared all wheel drive, the turbo the components to make it all work It would just be cheaper finding a Syclone and buying it that way I would say.. I would like to take my extended cab and do like the salt flats racer lol Gl man :-)

NOT EXACTLY... I JUST saw a ROLLING chassis(91 typhoon) motor,trans frame, rear end EVERYTHING for 2000.00 on Clist here in Co.. I Actually have a s15 (GMC) jimmy, BUT the conversion would be a friggin nightmare. Easier to just take the body off, or convert to a SBC. Unfortunatly the Typhoon is gone now.

280hp out of a turboed 4.3 L isnt all that impressive. Anything can be made into a fast car, just depends how much time and money you put into it, so Im pretty sure it's the owner who deserves credit, not the truck. Dont forget your precious syclone is powered by a Mitsubishi turbo.

dude that 280hp 4.3 L was impressive enough to push the truck to the 1/4 mile in the 13 sec mark. IT IS VERY IMPRESSIVE. It takes a ls1 340 hp Camaro to do that.

actually, Yaris is a play on Charis from Greek mythology, Integra was a fairly common name in latin, and "Impreza" is derived from the Italian impresa, meaning a badge or motto. In Polish, "Impreza" also means to celebrate, or party. yeah, but the guys who came up with "syclone" *obviously* put a lot of thought into it. (sarcasm)

The evo also has a much more complex engine and drive train, lighter weight, and better aerodynamics. This is a pushrod V6 with a basic AWD system. Hell, I bet these trucks will lay down an unholy amount more torque than a similarly powered Evo. Pay your respect where respect is due.
