All I can say is that while I was about to translate the top comments... the older ones are making me feel as though people from other countries do not care about human rights here. Just whether or not they can have their vacations while our people are murdered?
I found this video, just looking for some info on Maldives (looking for my next 1-2 month vacation). I realize many areas have problems, but... where the police and government is this corrupt (rule of law non-existant), I have no interest in going. Investing my money (in the form of hotel bills, restaurant bills, etc) to support this kind of regime, doesn't interest me. I won't be visiting the Maldives, afterall. Next.

Implying that a place is "face" based solely on the fact you've been somewhere twice, and nothing happened to you... is like saying that doing heroin is safe, because you did it twice, and nothing happened to you.
