Cont'd - She raised 5 kids by herself and we were never hungry or unclothed. She'd been working since she was 11 or 12 and the most she ever made was $7.??/Hr. She died at 67. We don't know how she did it! We thought we were rich or somewhat well-off. She never laid up with different men and the one or 2 she did date after the divorce. NEVER went past the living room. NOW, THAT'S A REAL MOM! Miss you mom...see you on the other side!

This is the saddest song for me! My mother died Sept/2007 and everytime I hear this song, I cry. The words mean so much to me, for although we didn't get along all time, I miss her dearly. I would do anything to have another argument or disagreement with her, only this time, I wouldn't hang the phone up, I would agree with her, right or wrong. I'd do anything to see her one more time, so I can tell her how much I did love and miss her. I'm actually crying typing this!

We went to dinner May 22 for my birthday wich was the 23, little did I know she would be gone 5 days later. I feel your pain. Im crying to typing this. Sometimes we think why but if we spend some time thinking there's no avoiding pain. your mom if she's watching you she'll know how you feel and she'll be happy. @LikeTotallyTUBEular I lost my mum in Feb/2010 and I too am almost brought to tears when I hear this song,All I can say is it gets better day by day,I too would love another argument with mum...its hard when your 17 and stuborn and never on the same page as mum...but even harder when you can't tell her your sorry for all the silly little fights we had because she was just looking out for me and tell her how much you love her. Keep your head up because your mom wouldnt want to see you hurtin'.

@quackdr I think the songs from TGIF were Brick House and Easy. The former is when Nicole Sims (Donna Summer) went into the booth to try to sing at the show but the DJ (the late Ray Vitte) said no and Donna left the booth and came back later disguised as a waitress.
