  • What is the name of the song in the intro ?

  • Kiwi FruiT!!!

    NZ

  • personally the shadow part is an option for me, sometimes the result looks much better without a shadow, but it depends on your taste and the picture. But If you do not have a green screen, or just want to use an old photo, u can just use the path tool to outline your subject and make a selection from there, then fill w/ black. Can be tedious but useful for those who want alternate methods.

  • crap that is really good!

  • this kid is young and very wise at pc as of gimp =)

  • How do you get the soldier picture without a background? Cause when I fill mine it fills the whole picture with background. Result a black box.

  • same dude idk how to get it the way GKH did it

  • You first need to render the image, so that it has a grayish checkerboard background. Right click on your picture layer, and click Add layer mask, with the default setting. Now, color anything that is NOT the person black.

  • SOLDAT FTW!

  • Nice tutorial.

  • Thanks.

  • I'm liking the kiwi

  • does anyone know the font type actually used in the commercial?

  • LMAO "iSpawnCamp" Clever! Great tutorials, by the way! I've been subscribed and watching for months now and I'm always impressed and learning new things. Keep them coming!

  • Maybe someday I'll do that... wait...

Good tutorial anyway, one of those "you might never do this but just in case you do here it is" tutorials.

  • You might not do an "iPod" theme, but the techniques used in the tutorial are what's important, and can be used for other things. That is what learning is all about. And that's the difference between creative thinkers / problem solvers / entrepreneurs, etc. and everyone else - the ability to apply knowledge in new ways. No one watching this is only able to make an iPod ad now. They can do SO much more simply based on the techniques covered. :)

  • mkay

  • nice....!!!!!!! :)

  • dude you go ways to fast

  • what version of gimp do you have because mine doesnt look the same as yours... all my docks are detached and it makes everything really hard haha

    lol

  • you forgot the second earphone and it would have look better if you hid the ipod behind his hand

  • Ouch.. Didn't even realize about the second earphone. If I hid it, you wouldn't know what it was.

  • The ipod earphones and the style of the wallpaper along with the white block would have suggested it was an ipod.

Also on his hip like a holster would have been cool.

Its a cool tutorial though and all the other ones a great too.

  • may you please upload the grill image that you used for your intro. The Image at 0:05 were it says made by gimp know how that image. you used in some other tutorial i really like it.
