Wow - Tony was one of the main reasons I watched SOLID GOLD as a young, gay teenager who wanted to be a dancer. He was beautiful to watch, whether soaring like a nightbird through the air or gliding like a gazelle on the ground. So many monumental talents lost to AIDS in all these years...

I just learn about thistony den feilds death wo i knew as a dead rockstar in movie trick or treat . I seen sold gold shows reruns in the late 90's on vh1 .But still never knew of him. I'm just bad that people think his was crap cause he was gay and got aids. Anybody can get aids no matter gay, straight, bi, or animal. I mean that i learn from veterny an animal can get aids. He as great talen in dance and acting.Better acting then todays talent. rip tony

Saw "Trick or Treat" on Times Square. And saw Michael Peters walking his dog in Chelsea. Loved him on the show and he appears in a couple of other movies, one is Goldie Hawn's Protocol.

Thanks for the comment and sharng your personal story also. I believe I responded to this quiestions privately becuase I would rather not discuss that issue here. Not because I have any negative feelings about it but simply to reduce the possiblitly of the small minded making derogatory comments about a man who derserves to rest in peace. Losing someone is hard enough, to lose them to this disease is indescribable. My condolences to you,

As I watch this I think to myself what a waste it is a beautiful man. I can't help but think what he would be doing with his life right now and what he would be offering in his passion of dance the thing he loved to share so much with aspiring youth. He is still giving even from the grave! There is not many people you can say that about or will be able to say that about. I love you Tony I wish I knew you!!! Your star will never burn out RIP GORGEOUS.

Yes Tony passed away in 1995.

Tony and Alex were my favorite male dancers. Tony looks best paired off w/Deborah, Darcel, Helene, & Chelsie.

Thanks for the post, Tony Fields was by far the best male solid gold dancer!! And extremely good looking. Pity they had to replace Tony/Alex with street dancers Cooley and Mark, it was never the same!

I feel the same. I loved Tony and Alex..they ruled. But I can see some of the dancers being replaced. Gayle and Lezlie were both great replacements later on....too bad Deborah and Kahea was not on after season 4!

I totally hated it when I found out that Tony died of AIDS. I found out back in 2003 about Tony. Tony and Alex set the bar when it comes down to the male dancers on the show and I stand by them being the two greatest male dancers on SG! Thanks!!!

Too bad Tony isn't alive now. Imagine what he could be doing in the entertainment industry now!!!
