I see parallels between apartheid and the current South African government. One racist regime has left, and a racist government has taken it's place. There was a law passed which ensures a certain amount of Blacks must be employed by companies of a certain size. I was at Gatwick Airport in London in early 90's and witnessed an elderly White man being grilled by a UK officer on what his purpose was for entering UK. The world played a big role in making SA democratic. ANC takes undue credit because they were voted in as Gov. which is a political strategy to keep voters.

@Siyincaba US is about 85 Trillion in debt but their assets are multiple times that amount. You clearly don't understand how banking works! Its not the function of the world bank to control banks. Banks are independent businesses with investors and shareholders. They are governed by the Reserve Bank. The RB provides geared funding at a fixed interest against assets. When banks carry too much debt they can't acquire assets therefore can't increase funding, cutting back loans and cutting costs.

The country is in serious debt, municipalities are in the red financially! You call this is improvement? Talk is cheap it what happens on the ground that counts. Gov. promised a business stimulus but this has not been felt yet! Black SA is still a struggling contributor economically. The learning curve is a lot harder than they thought.

@Siyincaba Oh no, the Consultant said it to my friend not me, I was listening. My friend asked the question, so who do you (IDC) get projects from, are there many Black entreprenuers bringing projects. His answer was a flat No! He pointed to me and said only people like me bring projects. We were taken aback, he said more but that is not necessary to repeat on this forum. @Siyincaba Do you think opportunities are listed somewhere and available to those who are willing to take them? Certainly not! Opportunites rarely come in the form that says this is success! One is confronted with all sorts of challenges that demand consistant perseverance and the ability to shrugg off negative experiences. @Siyincaba I am a business person I recognize talent in people. I took on Black partner (he had no input in the project it was all mine) I was willing to share with him. He asked the Black consultant at IDC who are the people bringing in projects, the consultant pointed at me saying them! He said its disappointing that hardly any Blacks come in with projects. Whites control because they are good at it. Blacks have to wake up and stop waiting for the gov. to kick Whites out so they can take over.

I did extensive research on this for a business project. Funding of the project demanded dealing with Black farmers but there were none who fitted the profile or requirements. We ended up back with the greedy Boers. They feed SA and thats a fact. If they stopped for 2 days SA would have a serious crisis, Blacks would starve instantly.

My friend's dad came from Germany after the war and hired land from Blacks in the rural area he offered to care for their cows and charged them for it he bought the land from them and bought their cows, today he is a multi-millionaire farmer and employs the people he did business with. @iekmoloi When I speak of the woes of Africa I exclude S.A. because as you may know that the S.A. economy is controled by whites but receding fast. There will come a time when S.A. will also be counted in that poverty beaten lot if they continue discouraging Whites from being here. @multiracialnotblack This is a sad read. I cannot say I know your experience because we as Coloureds in South Africa have very little to do with Blacks. South Africa under the apartheid era had a thriving economy. People who fought apartheid thought this would continue and provide everybody with equal opportunity to succeed. We had no idea of the destruction and corruption that would ensue post apartheid under Black rule. South Africa is under serious threat of deteriorating to a Black township.

Although many of us speak out constantly to be able to identify honestly and accurately, in the U.S. people will not allow it. Banks are independent businesses with investors and shareholders. They are governed by the Reserve Bank. The RB provides geared funding at a fixed interest against assets. When banks carry too much debt they can't acquire assets therefore can't increase funding, cutting back loans and cutting costs.

The country is in serious debt, municipalities are in the red financially! You call this is improvement? Talk is cheap it what happens on the ground that counts. My friend asked the question, so who do you (IDC) get projects from, are there many Black entreprenuers bringing projects. His answer was a flat No! He pointed to me and said only people like me bring projects. We were taken aback, he said more but that is not necessary to repeat on this forum. @Siyincaba I am a business person I recognize talent in people. I took on Black partner (he had no input in the project it was all mine) I was willing to share with him. He asked the Black consultant at IDC who are the people bringing in projects, the consultant pointed at me saying them! He said its disappointing that hardly any Blacks come in with projects. Whites control because they are good at it. Blacks have to wake up and stop waiting for the gov. to kick Whites out so they can take over.

I did extensive research on this for a business project. Funding of the project demanded dealing with Black farmers but there were none who fitted the profile or requirements. During the World Cup SA looked like it was flourishing, police were seen at every corner, crime disappeared. The world was impressed! The coloureds should have their own community and keep the blacks out. There are so many multiracial people here in the U.S. who are so brainwashed and try so hard to fit in with black people, even when black people give them a hard time for being multiracial. So pathetic. Where I live black people have ruined every community where they are the majority.For every news broadcast I see, there are three or four murders committed by black people daily.

It was developed for the benefit of the White race, just as South Africa was. Whites set up South Africa. Niggers didn't want it until the White race created something worthwhile there. @iekmoloi When was the last time you visited Africa? Its a crying shame, you have to be a politician to live well. As a Black African just to eat requires tremendous effort and the African staple diet is fed to pigs in the US. Blacks in Africa make every effort to get closer to Whites and their reason is to improve their lives. Blacks in the US have no concept of who they really are so when they don't achieve they blame White people. They are remarkably similar to Black Africans in character.

@iekmoloi When I speak of the woes of Africa I exclude S.A. because as you may know that the S.A. economy is controled by whites but receding fast. There will come a time when S.A. will also be counted in that poverty beaten lot if they continue discouraging Whites from being here. I must say I appreciate your positive approach it is what Africa needs. I do sometimes portray a pessimistic view of Africa but if we could use our position as a launching pad then we could be onto something.

@multiracialnotblack This is a sad read. I cannot say I know your experience because we as Coloureds in South Africa have very little to do with Blacks. South Africa under the apartheid era had a thriving economy. People who fought apartheid thought this would continue and provide everybody with equal opportunity to succeed. We had no idea of the destruction and corruption that would ensue post apartheid under Black rule. South Africa is under serious threat of deteriorating to a Black township.

@Biright1 We are forced by black (and mixed-race politicians) to identify as black in the United States. Although many of us speak out constantly to be able to identify honestly and accurately, in the U.S. people will not allow it. We are forced to deal with blacks and their harrasment and hatred toward us and nothing is done about it. You are very fortunate that you have very little to do with blacks. In this country you would be forced to identify as black.

@multiracialnotblack My heart goes out to you. I am so sorry for that I can only imagine the constant intimidation. If it were not for the apartheid era we would be in the same position. Wise move by the former White leaders. Coloureds don't want to choose sides but when we notice hostility we push back. Fortunately we didn't see a full onslaught just little skirmishes here and there. Blacks in numbers can be troublesome but they are kept in check. Whites can get harsh but we can handle them.
