Collective Soul- "The World I Know" at Harborfest

I was there. CS put on a great show as usual. I was back about 30 feet and I could hear everything just fine. But obviously, there was no vocal monitor onstage, and Ed was visibly upset. Towards the end he threw the mic down in frustration, but they still kicked ass, and it was a great atmosphere. And I love it when the end with Run, with just Ed out there playing the chord progression while the band exits, then finally Ed.

I've seen CS probably 10 times before and this was by far the worst one ever.  Not to take anything away from the band...it was all due to the technical difficulties which obviously frustrated Ed and as so goes Ed, so goes Collective Soul. Regardless, I'll still be first in line for tickets the next time they are in the area. Thanks CS...it certainly wasn't your fault.
