My case fan broke down and i need to buy a replacement, but i measured the fan and it seems to be 225mm, the site i bought it from sells both 220 and 230mm fans and checking the case it came in the sites lists the side fan as actually being 250mm which doesn't seem right at all. So i'm totally confused as to what size i should buy, I sent the company a message, but they haven't bothered to reply. :(
This helps me confirm that the new 80mm fan I bought the other day (an enermax) is actually 82mm!! and won't fit into my fan enclosure ... how frustrating.
I highly suggest Scythe brand for case fans, they have OUTSTANDING CFM per DBa produced ratio. Absolutely outstanding, I have 4 120mm's and 2 80mm's in my case and my GPU's still the only audible ones
hi...how can i overclock my intel p4 HT?i have a AMI bios. And what is the best airflow for my casing, intake or exhaust? Currently i have a 120mm (intake) fan on the side panel and 80mm (exhaust) fan on top of it which is directly aligned with my processor fan. hope u can help with my problem.
the 4850 is the same gpu as the 4870 but has had part of it laser removed to make it less powerfull then the 4870.. but it will still perform near the gtx260 range
Not exactly. The 4870 uses GDDR5 memory as opposed to GDDR3 on the 4850. The 4870 has higher effective memory and core clocks, as well as 160 less processing cores.
it doesnt really matter about GDDR3 or GDDR5 AMD cancled having GDDR5 memory on the 4850 because there isnt really a performance increase... maybe the 4870 has higher 'Effective' clocks and a few more proccessing cores... Look at the price difference's tho, if i was on a bugjet i'd go for 4850 tbh...
I will be looking at a system overhaul at the end of 2009. Hopefully there will be some improved performance by then. Nvidia have been raping G92 and its variations for far too long.
The 4870 is faster, so go with that. Also, the NVIDIA GTX260 is fast for around the same price. Why do you absolutely need an ATI card? See which costs less between the GTX 260 and the HD 4870 and buy that one.
Also, keep in mind a 32" monitor (I assume you didn't mean TV) will have a very high native resolution, so a mid-range system will not cut it for games. (although the 4870 and GTX 260 should be fine for a couple of years)
aye u should def get the 4850 cause now u can get a sapphire 4850 for like i think its only $160 now. and if u got 2 and do crossfire you would get better performance than a 4870
There's a Tagan case with two 250mm fans on the side and my case, the Tagan EL-Diablo has a 250mm fan in front and a 360mm fan on the side. Nothing comes close to that.
It's 360mm and you're welcome. You can just do a google search for "tagan el diablo" and you'll find some reviews with nice pictures too. Overall I'm very happy with this one, especially when it comes to the screwless design, quiet fans and slide-in hard drive slots. They go in from the side so you can take them out easily.
One thing it doesn't have though is a nice removable mobo tray, so I can't get a clean wiring job like on high-end towers. For $100 it's great though.

Hi, i've got a Q about graphicscards.
I am soon going to buy a new graphicscard for my mid-high gaming-pc. Soon I'll have a 32" screen but i don know what graphicscard to buy.
I need an ATI card so wich would be better for my usage? A HD4850 1gb or a 4870 512 mb?
I have a budget around 250 $ so would you please do a Q/A video for me and all the others with the same difficulties... love your rev:s and Q/A:s
sebbetheo 3 years ago
get the 4870. 512mb is pretty good, and the chip is better than the 4850
