Why? because there are only a handful of them that were "grey" imports and there is a ridiculous amount of paper work and processing that has to happen to get these cars stateside. If i recall the company that was importing them in the early 2000's is defunk and the owners in jail because of these cars.
@alorislg well sorry to but into your debate but you seem like a nice guy so I'll answer your question, as a tuner I can tell you that the Supra has a 2JZ GTE which believe it or not is probably more dominant than the V-8 that Toyota made for the $450,000 Lex LFA since you cant do shit to that engine; but, the 2JZ block can handle about 1500HP; it would cost a total of 100,000 to fully tune a Supra to smoke a Veyron with turns brakes acceleration ad top speed; R34 GTR same concept;

Other cars that have small engines and incredible power are the Following: Mazda RX-7 FD, Subrau WRX STI Preferred Coupe 1998 but 2002-2007 is still good; 2008+ models are trash; Mitsubishi Lancer EVOLUTION 4,5,6 preferrebly but 7,8,9 are fast too though uglier & heavier; Nissan Sylvia S15, Toyota MR2 Turbo; anything you do to any of these cars you get drastic increase in power;

@alorislg The Maxima is not fast; niether is it anything like a skyline; that being said, I have seen 400HP accords but only with engine swaps; the ones with stock engines that put out 400HP have a turbo thats been forcefully mounted to an engine thats not made to run turbo; so if oy go that route you can get 400HP for about 2 weeks before the engine blows; these cars I mentioned are made to be tuned to up to a 1000HP; without losing reliability; unless your mechanic and programer is an idiot
@alorislg The old eclipse GS-Ts and GS-Xs are great; they have the 4G63 engine from the Lancer EVO with a lot of tuning capability; they're just as good as EVOs acutally; powerwise; Honda Performance Engines include K20 (RSX), B18s; B20s (Integras), K24s, and B16a's and b's (civic type-R); S2000 engine is the F series; people generally get about 400HP out of most of these after changing everything possible; the Turbo engines from Toyota Nissan Subaru Mazda and Mitsu can do triple that.
@alorislg Also, the Honda engines I mentioned are not made to be turbo charged; they are high compression engines that get all their power from the top end (high RPMs) although its not that much; Some people like to cheat and put a turbo on, but anything over 330HP any those motors from a turbo won't tast over 3 months; However, There are stroker kits to where you can convert the honda engine from a N/A to a "turbo Ready" motor (which the other cars I mentioned already are stock);
@alorislg However, those stroker kits start at $3500 just for internals; then there are laobor and you have to seal the block; polish the heads and ports; and re-balance the whole motor; when its set and done you're looking at grand plus Turbo charger setup; at which point if you do that to a K20, you can have the same potential output as a Subaru STI or Lancer EVO but I wonder; why the fuck would I do that when the Suby and Mitsu already come like that stock; and AWD VS Front wheel; No brainer

That being said, there is a 1500HP Supra; however I don't think there are videos of Supras in that power range racing Veyrons; But The Supra is about 3400lbs; the veryron is about 4200; So a 1000HP Supra with custom gears would outrun a EB Veyron;

@UptownCarwashBoy As great as an M6 or CLK500 are, they're still run-of-the-mill cars that you see often. An R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R is rare, especially in The States. In fact, your'e more likely to see a Ferrari Enzo or Bugatti Veyron on a public highway or street than a GT-R. So yeah, i'll take this GT-R over the Bimmer or Benz any day of the week.
LOL that's a bit racist haha, they are super rare though. Drove one in Japan, it's an awe inspiring machine, not that much of a daily, depends on what you can put up with but yes it has to be seen for real to be fully comprehended.
@princepersia1 I've driven multiple GTR's (R33 and 34) and almost all of them felt very civilised. I guess it depends on what kind of clutch is fitted and if the suspension is stock - if it has a stock clutch and suspension, a 'Skyline' GTR can be just as easy to daily as a WRX.
The driving feel of these cars is virtually perfect. You have heaps of torque, power, refinement and everything is well weighted and communicative. I'd easily compare with a Porsche... much better than a Supra.

Not as good as an EVO 9's though but it could be worse. American Muscle cars are the real deal. If i had to choose between a 2f2f Skyline and a Super Snake, i would go with the Super Snake for sure. @UptownCarwashBoy As great as an M6 or CLK500 are, they're still run-of-the-mill cars that you see often. An R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R is rare, especially in The States. In fact, your'e more likely to see a Ferrari Enzo or Bugatti Veyron on a public highway or street than a GT-R. So yeah, i'll take this GT-R over the Bimmer or Benz any day of the week.

@princepersia1 I've driven multiple GTR's (R33 and 34) and almost all of them felt very civilised. I guess it depends on what kind of clutch is fitted and if the suspension is stock - if it has a stock clutch and suspension, a 'Skyline' GTR can be just as easy to daily as a WRX.
The driving feel of these cars is virtually perfect. You have heaps of torque, power, refinement and everything is well weighted and communicative. I'd easily compare with a Porsche... much better than a Supra.

@rawj777 Yeah, pedal layout is still the same. Couldn't tell you what it is like to drive on the right hand side of the car as it is the only method that I am really accustomed to. All I can say is that I find nothing unusual about it.
I've driven one LHD car in my life and I found that I was over compensating by driving too far to the right of the lane I was in. I could get used to it though.

@KsCHL1 I love skylines. They are in my favorite cars list. But i like mustangs more. Although, as you said some mustangs have shitty handling. But still changing suspensions and tires might fix the handling problem. I once knew a guy that had a mustang so powerful that he could drive on 2 wheels(rear) for about 3-4 seconds. It was insane! And mustangs look badass. ALL HAIL RAW POWER!

@BLStribute I'd love to have a car which can lift front wheels, that would be damn insane. I've got to admit that I was quite dissapointed when I saw a video, in which a mustang couldn't turn as fast other cars just because of its shitty suspensions.Mustangs are not cheap, not THAT expensive either but mustangs are so good looking cars that they might have better handling. I really like them but it seems that in some countries no one likes them. In Sydney, Australia never saw a mustang or camaro

@KsCHL1 I own a shelby gt500 67, and i gotta say. I FUCKING LOVE THAT CAR! The engine's sound always makes my day, and it's fast as hell. Also the handling is very good. Not as good as an EVO 9's though but it could be worse. American Muscle cars are the real deal. If i had to choose between a 2f2f Skyline and a Super Snake, i would go with the Super Snake for sure. Imagine a car like Super Snake modified(Body, engine, interiors). One word. EPIC! Once again.... ALL HAIL RAW POWER!

@godgrant123 GT-R is all wheel drive, GT-T is rear wheel drive, I used to have an R33 GT-S which is rear wheel drive, man that car kept me awake. I managed to get a great deal on a V-spec GT-R and am well happy with it

GTT's don't have brembos, they dont have the front splitter, the front end is completely different, this has a FMIC and GTT's dont from factory. do you also think he put the "v-spec" decal on his boot too? oh and he also installed the LCD dash that comes factory with GTRs too right?
you can also hear that this car is heavily modded, you can hear the aftermarket cams and twin/triple plate clutch.

dude its possibly that its GT-T.Not thatim being jealous or anything. If you noticed the GTR on the grill is on the far right and most GTR's have it centred. if you look at the side skits aswell they're much higher than the front and rear bodykit.
you can turn an R34gt-t into a v spec.all you need is cash dude
