  • Israel won this battle because of air cover and THE MASSIVE WEST SUPPORT ,the USSR was giving Syria and Egypt gay weapons and Jordan has no real supporter ,after 2 years (1968) Israel army fucked by jordan army after trying to cross Jordanian borders . BTW JORDAN USED THIS TANK.

  • kfc tastes like chicken shit!

  • The "Fear Factor" is a load of bollox anyway. FF and Production rating are only in there for one reason, so that the Septics can always get their kit to the top of the tree. How else would the scabby M1 be able to top score the Chally 2? Pure bullshit from the yanks.

  • @stubbostubbs much of the rating comes from the tanks affect on the world. The Chally 2 was just as good as the Abrams, if not better. But its numbers meant it was a sideshow to the performance of the M1A1 in the massive tank battles of 1991.

  • fuck you paul beaver!! and your brother justin beaver!! :DDDD

  • 1:32, it did guzzle fuel....like a whore...this programme is just full of shit....great tank, crap programme layout

  • @14th20thKRHkickass my centurion does 20l p km . it holds 545.5 l according to the user handbook . Australian centurions also had an extra 100 gal external fuel tank added.

    the book says for range

    cross country 32.5 miles or 0.27 m.p.g

    road 62.5 miles or 0.52 m.p.g

  • And btw,Israeli tank crew could shot with this tank for more then 1km...

  • LOL?

    Low fear factor?

In Yom kippor war the centrioun tank destoryed more then FUCKING 1,200 SYRIANS TANKS WITH ONLY 200+- Centurion tanks..

    assholes.

  • @xEden1

And by the way the Syrians tanks were the must advanced tanks in those years..

    (T-64 and T-55.)

  • @xEden1 much longer ranges then 1km.. more like 3 miles. the isreali crews were trained to fight on the flatlands of the golan hights. and the isreali up gunned version of the centurion was much more superior then the t-54/55's the syrians had. only thing the syrians had on the isrealis was that the syrians were equipped with infrared "spotlights" so letting the syrians carry out the war in the night,

  • 120 miles, who did the research, the operational

range is 280 miles (450 km)

  • Can`t see the British all becoming muslims.Tell them they can`t have bacon on their full english breakfast and watch all hell break loose!!

  • I have to think that if this thing rolled onto the scene and all you and your comrades had were machine guns, the fear factor would be pretty goddamn high.

  • 2:23 about centurion and 60 died soviet tanks , it's just stupid syrian drivers (CREWS), they not know how need fight in war . If in soviet tanks fought soviet crews - in this battles all centurions die very fast too !! arabian tank crew - =it's like baboon with granate )))

  • i fucking hate hitlers panzers..

  • IT'S A GOOD SOLID TANK i hate that chubby dickhead

  • The centurion is a fantastic tank in the 6 day war and all other israeli conflicts which tank did they put on the frontline, only the best. the israelis bought m60's and centurions and all the israelis ive met have said that the cent was far better in every way than the m60 patton

  • If im correct, the centurions produced at 1945 used the 76mm 17 pdr, and later the 21 pounder gun. Is the 21 pounder 105mm ? if not, this video is rather wrong = /

  • @flintrocks

The first Centurions, the Marks I and II, were indeed armed with the 76.2mm 17 pounder. Starting with the Mark III the Centurion was up-armed with the 83.4mm 20 pounder. There were to versions of this gun, one with the counter-weight at the end of the barrel. The other had a tube-like fume extractor about midway on the barrel. This latter gun became the basis of the widely used and copied L-7 105mm.

  • @MBguy2008 thank you, this video just confused me, but what i new was right then, thanks

  • @flintrocks knew*

  • @flintrocks

The shell for the 105mm would be heavier than 20 pounds. What it is, I don't know. But the 105 was based on the B model of the 20 pounder gun.

  • @MBguy2008 Ok? and what of it? Weight doesnt mean more penetration, just means more damage when it does penetrate

  • @MBguy2008 btw, no, it wouldnt, i doubt it, sure the HE shell might, but 105mm are all different weight. And artillery shell is gona have a heavier HE shell. Its just gona be the same size.

  • 1 thing ABRAMS LEOPARD CHALLANGER best tanks in the world but this is a good tank for being over 60 years old of course

  • In fact, Centurion was continually up-armoured throughout its lifetime. The AVREs that went to Iraq on Op GRANBY in 1991 were modified to be immune over the frontal arc to third-gen infantry anti-tank weapons like Milan, TOW and so on. There are pictures on the net of these beasts - they look warry as fuck! Can the M48 or even M60 make similar claim?

We really got it right with Centurion. The start of 60 years of peerless tank design after getting it wrong through out the 30s and early 40s.

  • well the m60 did have some armor kit upgrades. What really made them solid was the marine crews that drove em, plus the 109mm gun if im correct

  • They also mix up the stats at the beginning from Mk1 thru Mk11 Centurions - God, Discovery are useless fuckers! A Centurion with a 105mm gun and Meteor engine? Does it have a flux capacitor as well? Ignorant cocksuckers. No wonder people are so thick today.

  • Meteor Mk 4B and on later models adapted for hydraulic equipment (dozer blade) MK 4B H. It is a meteor engine, not from the Meteor Aircraft, from spitfires originally and obviously upgraded.

  • my cent had a 105 mm gun and Meteor engine when i got it .

  • HOLY SHIT just two of these DAMAGED took on 100 t-62's? took out 60 and lived to tell the tale?? thats amazing

  • Yes amazing indeed, they probably had the advantage of high ground and they were in a hull-down position so they could pick off the enemy at will. Just like the German panzers taking on superior numbers of Allied tanks by being in good defensive positions. They could take on entire armoured brigades/divisions. Good tactics, determination, cold steel and iron men!

  • Hull down, shmull down. The Israelis have a secret weapon, one that cannot be purchased, manufactured, reverse-engineered or copied. It's called "ayn brerah", meaning quite simply "no choice".

Yes, I know it's a great tank, that's why the Israelis are still using it, albeit as an AFV and Engineers Combat Vehicle among other special purposes minus the turret.

  • Agreed Nagmashdriver; Israel is surrounded by hostile nations so there's no choice but to fight when war comes. The Israelis have been doing it well since 1948, so full credit to them. Isherman, Centurion, Magach and Merkava; all good tanks with elite crews + "ayn brerah "= victory.

  • Thanks for the kind words of support; it sure beats all the anti-semites and other assorted nutcases out there in cyberspace! Israel needs all the friends she can get in the world, thanks for being one of them!

PS: Can you guess what I did in the IDF? Hint: Google my username!

  • ayn brerah + ezrat Hashem

    We also stand for Israel

  • Thank you! We need all the friends we can get.

  • @panzercalva Why would you do that?

  • @gamesbok why dont? Israel is defending its land? you also believe the tales of the peaceful islamists who just want to subdue the world and then get peace?

  • @panzercalva It isn't Israel's land. We both know that. Neither the Islamics nor the Christians went anywhere to attack anyone, and none of them are doing anything except defending their homes, as they are legally permitted to do under the United Nations Charter.

  • @gamesbok ok, if you believe in the UN, then we better start talking about pinnochio or some other fairy tales... with even a nicer end....would it not be lovely?

keep loving the muslims till they put a cloth in front of your daughters.. then it will be too late... Israel is the front line... you fools!

  • @panzercalva I went to Israel as a supporter, but what I saw there was Zionists creating lebensarum for the herrenvolk at the expense of the untermensch. If you can tell me what's not Nazi about this I'm all ears.

  • @gamesbok well. if your politic of welcoming all kinds of muslims in UK is working out, i a, also all ears... and if the brits didnt knew how to deal with lunatics then 98'% of your history should be rewriten again... you have already forgot the little s´mistake your Mr. Chamberlain did... believing a good will paper

  • @panzercalva Chamberlain, the only world leader who declared war on Hitler, and he didn't have to, I see. In '38 he had no choice, with Trenchard screaming in his ear, but he did know how to deal with Nazis. Pity you couldn't answer my question.

  • @gamesbok :ok, my question will be answered to you automatically when you realized how futile were your efforts to stopp islam in your country... by then you will have been converted to islam by force... where is the british pride.... below the sandale of the muslims in your country

  • @panzercalva What efforts?

  • @gamesbok Dont worry about the muslims in our country . the british have a world renown for tolerance and yes we do have large number of immigrants but even now its less than 10% but what you will find is we will give them enough rope to hang thereselves and then all over the UK we will if we have to fight for right . Israel is surrounded by sunni muslims but the shia from Pakistan is the real extremists and if they want it they will get it

  • @gamesbok i was realizing you are from UK... your country is already overrun...so it is not a reality for you anymore.... like sharia?

  • besst tank in the world!

  • the brits invented the sherman firefly tank before but the americans didnt want to build it cause it had a british gun on it (i say gun but it was a 17 pounder artillary cannon to destroy tiger tanks) so the shermans became know as tommy cookers because they were crap hence the brits had to build a new tank from scratch cause the us wouldnt, they got a lot of guys killed

  • @002Mercury002

Yes it's too bad the Americans didn't accept the 17 pounder. They instead kept with their own 76.2mm tank gun as more of them replaced the 75mm armed Shermans. All three of these guns were quite capable of dealing with the more common German tanks, tank destroyers and assault guns encounter. But only the 17 pounder had the power to penetrate the front armour of a Panther or a Tiger I.

  • too bad they came too late for WWII, a lot of good men died in crappy tanks. I saw the place where the Centurions took on the T-62's. They had white stakes planted where each one was stopped. It looked like a cemetary. The British can make some fine military tech when they try! The Centurion can be shot half apart and welded back together and be as good as new. Gotta love them.

  • We still have about 70 of these in the Nigerian Army armoured corps. They're quite old, but they get the job done.

  • Somethings seriously wrong with the syrians

  • What the hell is this show? How do they rate 'Fear Factor' so low? Surely if you're driving a tank that's just knocked out so many Syrian tanks in Yom Kippur that's going to give your enemies quite a bit of fear?! Great design this and visually very similar to modern day tanks, so different from it's contemparies it's amazing!

  • discover is crap tehy kinda rate the brits low and the americans high

  • @stagga76 You never went into a battle against Centurion and said "Oh no they have Centurion tanks we have to plan for this". Really it was so equal to many of the Soviet tanks it fought in combat that a thing like "Centurion fever" never really came to be.

  • Fantastic Tank I was a driver, gunner, on these. BEST in the world at the time. Not bad for a 1945 design until phased out of the british army after 25 years disinguished service WORLD wide. Great to drive, had to drive... no automatic/electric gearbox on these.

  • great tank. I drove one in the Canadian Army from 1965 to 1969. Had a great gun

  • great tank. I drove one in the Canadian Army from 1965 to 1969. Had a great gun

  • best tank design of all time

  • best tank for years the centurion , may of had it in ww2 if our tank development hadnt been neglected in the 30s

  • the best tank ever made - still in use 60 yesrs latter , and british too .

  • @merseyside as you no doubt know that 11 of these were deployed in northern europe in april 1945 and although they were used as mobile artillery they never went tank on tank with the tigers and panthers but never the less it still means that the best tank of the second world war was british ( not german or russian ) .

  • @merseyside yup, in fairness we were all behind the germans on tank Development cos they were the only ones expecting war. If we'd had the Centurion, the Wermacht would have lost a LOT more Panzers ;)

  • @Snakebloke

Soviets took the lead in WW2 with T-34 trouncing the Germans. Panther was a bigger copy of T-34, ordered by Hitler. British experience in the field developed better tanks, and tank engines than them all in WW2 culminating with the Centurion. The Centurion was "in service" in WW2 being delivered to its units in April 1945 in England. Taken to Belgium to be used against the Germans, VE-Day came. It was "in service", available for action, in WW2 but never fired a shot in anger
