  • Man these guys are a super talent! Vinnie is a fret board master!

  • You can tell how much fun Vinnie is having playing with those guys. His grin is huge! You know Vinnie grew up wearing out his UFO records trying to learn those songs. The whole band looks like they are having fun! I would much rather see these guys in a small club than a big arena. And they are dong what they love night in and night out!

  • Flying from Buffalo to Vegas to see UFO 9/23/11 !!!

  • i saw them in 2009 and 2011 at MCGUFFEYS HOUSE OF ROCK in DAYTON, OHIO and they ROCKED BOTH TIMES! it would be nice to see them in a bigger place with a few other bands of their era, but you got to take what you get. they still seem to enjoy it and the crowd gets off so that's all matters. UFO FOREVER!

  • vinnie moore is better as a solo act ,he plays too fast, imnot putting ths guy down because hes a badd ass guitarist, but im just used to the ufo with micheal schenker in the band, and that kind of style

  • I know everyone ages differently, but Phil Mogg looks beat. Always thought he was an under-rated singer though. Wrote some GREAT songs back in the day.

  • Gee Whilikers.... I forgot to tell you all.. That being in a band, is like being married to 5 people at one time... OK I still want to say something to barbara from 1978.......

  • It's good to see Phil still ROCKIN

  • Awesome performance, but damn Phil Mogg looks old, like Bush.

  • Vinnie's good, but he's no Schenker

  • I thought this version is boring. Sounded better with MS.

  • pete way is such a badass tho

  • vinnie moore is too flashy for ufo...schenker needs to come back

  • I thougt that was Steve Harris playing guitar for a few miutes! He's a big UFO fan , that"d explain the pants. Just not the same without Micheal.

  • Vinnie is a very good guitarist, he IS NOT Michael Schenker, Schenker is light years superior- 'nuff said. Besides, he's basically playing the solo as originally recorded, not much added or subtracted- his tone is marginal at best- it is clean though.

  • The drummers meter sucks!

  • when i seen them for the first time with moore it was good but i saw schenker live on his own a wee while later and he blew me away on every track (he was sober) search for the schenker rock bottom in dublin video.. amazing.. haha i am in it too lol..

  • moore is a better guitar player than I am....but I don't want to hear the major and mixolydian scales in lock step during a schencker solo....tone it down and play with mojo....dump the scalar approach

  • Oh, this is 2 steps lower than it was originally recorded. Well, Phil still sounds good. Saw UFO and Thin Lizzy on a double bill in '82. One of the best rock shows I've ever seen and I've been to more than I can count.

  • (Continued)

All I'm saying is, UFO just took everybody by storm. I came because I was A TS fan, I left a UFO fan. TS (COAP tour) wasn't exactly their best tour - actually, they didn't tour after that? I wonder why?

I tip my hat to UFO, they're a fantastic live act, very pro... I'd go see 'em anytime. But hey, it's all Rock'N'Roll :-)

  • tgrules565, Twisted Sister do stink live, and here's why I think they do.

When I saw them, they had two guitar players standing behind a curtain, playing through out the concert - it wasn't Eddie and Jay Jay playing.

Second, all through the tour (Come out and play tour), TS had pissed off fans, fights broke out at nearly every concert, because of their bad live performance, and Dees behaviour.

Third, UFO kept getting called in for more encores. I love TS (on album) no doubt about that ..

  • I saw UFO on their Misdemeanor tour, they were support for Twisted Sister. UFO kept coming back on stage for extras, they blew Twisted Sister to hell .. TS stinks live ... But UFO, they can come by DK anytime and I'll be there ... Luv 'em ..

  • Twisted sister don't 'stink' live, they're one of the best live acts out there, UFO just happened to be better that night. Just because UFO put on s better show (they would tbh because they're great) does not make TS a bad live act.

  • Saw UFO in Redondo Beach just a few weeks ago...one of the best jam-sessions in rock-n-roll I've witnessed after 20 years of concerts! This song is just as legendary as the legendary ZEP!

  • I saw them in Seattle last night-great show! Genuine legends they are! Phil's voice has mellowed and seems richer. Vinnie Moore fits the lineup well.

  • His voice is deeper nowadys. . . hope they swing by my neck of the woods one o' these days!

  • KICK ASS VIDEO!!

  • Well, Phil's known to clown around on stage alot during extended solos, even back during the Schenker days. I read once he crawled around on a fog filled stage, popping his head up every once in a while on different sides of the stage :D

  • you are stupid

  • I grew up with Schenker and think he's awesome, but nothing disrespectful should even be mentioned about this guitarist. First of all, he seems to be a kick ass guitar player, hitting every note perfectly and secondly every time I see the guy, he's smiling and having fun. Points at the camera guy and smiles. And I really doubt that Vinnine Moore would have anything negative to say about Michael Schenker, I'm sure he has tons of respect for MS.

  • @Paloozaz Well spoken, it's just music, like when different ball player hang after the game, it's not that serious bro ;-)! And being a huge Schenker fan...Mr. Moore is different and every bit as good a player in his own right! I would say he's actually a bit technically better than Schenker and Michael has a huge edge in "blues feel and technique" it's just a matter of taste folks!

  • all this talk about comparisons of guitarists ..... this band is about MOGG !!! truly one of the all time greats ..... if he started to suck there would be no point in UFO continuing no matter who played guitar. Mogg , the best of his generation still working in rock .

  • I know who Michael Schenker is. I did NOT know Vinnie Moore....I do now.

  • UFO was so hot live in California in the early 80's.

    UFO rocks

    Cupertino, Ca

  • @carbon4me Actually, mid 70's - Too Hot To Handle!

    L.A., CA

  • I like how Vinnie plays the tracks almost exactly like Schenker did. He even gets the little "chink a chink chink" palm mute down pat, which actually makes the song. Still don't think his vibrato is on the same level as Schenker, but he's a faster and more fluid player, for sure. I am looking forward to the new UFO CD hopefully early 2009. Hopefully it has a few more melodic rockers than Monkey Puzzle did.

  • They are also playing a half step lower. Can't hit those highs at that age.

  • phil's wearing the starland shirt where i saw them!

  • vinnies a great player but does not have the tone feel and creativity of schenker but they are both great players

  • I disagree.

  • where is pete

  • UFO Rocks! I used to rock out to UFO late 70s Early 80s. Seeing this video makes me feel so old....lol. Still love the music !!!

    Bubba

  • I'm sure that was a mistake.

I wouldn't let it bother you.

  • You can tell Phil, and Paul, watch Vinnie in amazement...

The look on Paul Raymonds face at 4:57 when Vinnie plays behind his back?

    Priceless!

  • Vinnie makes UFO better than they have ever been PERIOD.

  • I'm sure Vinnie played that in his bedroom like the rest of us, and here he is on stage with them. Too cool. I can tell he played that solo a few times in his bedroom too. Probably wore out that tape trying to learn Michaels licks to amaze his friends.

  • I'm seeing them this Saturday in Vegas - and if this vid is any indication of what it will be like, this is gonna be one hell of a show!

  • Dude, I saw them at Tangiers in Akron Ohio just last week and man they kicked ASS!!! They rocked the house and no joke chicks were dancin on the tables!!! Memorable and I will see them again no doubt!!

  • I was at this SHOW in AKRON OH-

AWESOME SHOW! UFO Best band and most under rated rock band in the history of Rock!

  • Fantastic - Thanks fro all of us over in the UK - Wish we were there with you

  • Michael Who?

Vinnie's just as good or better.

And that's coming from a huge Schenker fan.

Don't miss UFO coming to your town!!!!

    You won't regret it.

  • Best band ever...

Seeing them on May 8th on Portland

  • AWESOME! I will be seeing them in tow days in Nashville!
