That's absolutely correct. I was also at Taji in '07. That day, we had just come back from a trip to Liberty. We got off Tampa like 30 minutes prior to the blast. While we were unloading everything back at the FOB, I was walking outside and it sounded like someone kicked the door and it hit me square in the face lol. I thought someone was just being a jackass until I went outside and saw the plume of smoke. ANd he's totally right. That was an Iraqi Army convoy directly behind the dump truck.

i was on the tower i believ it was Alpha12 if i still remember. that shit knocked me on my ass. had concussion and felt natious for a week.......som bullshit. OIF 06-08 15months i can never get bak.

to bad you don't have the whole video. i was there and the iraqi army convoy just pushed though it. now the next convoy was american and i was in that one. it was not fun having to get on the ground and see men on the right side of the road burning to death or killed by the blast

Fuck, I'm going to Taji. I'll be in a humvee too. I wonder if MRAPs could handle a blast like that. I doubt the first humvee made it :(

@GUSco2001 - Speaking from experience, the first vehicle made it. Most of the force of the blast blew out to the sides. The concussive force was ridiculous, though... You feel it in your bones.
