I mostly agree, however yesterday i was sitting there while 2 of my guy friends were talking and suddenly one of them said "breadsticks" and they both started laughing hysterically. I just sat there rather confused.
Hahaha this video is hilarious. I definitely have had weird conversations about random stuff with girls. I think conversations like that coffee one become even more common in college because you are often with the same people a lot of the time doing mundane things like eating dinner together every single night, so filler chatter becomes pretty normal. That's just been my experience :)
You have a great engaging vlogging style. I was keen to subscribe after seeing Newt but less so after this one. Although still engagingly presented, the generalisations are annoying and not even in a thought provoking way - granted, there are obvious behavioural differences between girls and guys, but if you're video is about that and nothing else, make it worthwhile by starting a discussion on whether the differences are inherent or cultural, or something to think about! ps. still subscribing

I'm a girl, but a good majority of my friends are guys, and I have totally noticed this difference, too. It's kind of disconcerting with one of my guy friends falls silent even though I know that's just the way he is :P And you're right, when I'm talking with one of my girl friends, a lot more talking goes on. We usually end up talking over each other and having three or four topics at once. Honestly, I think it's more fun that way.

And I find that sometimes its way easier to wax philosophical or talk about real stuff with my guyfriends, some of them like to bullshit too though. Overall I look at being able to make conversation out of literally anything as more of an ability (which is arguably not that useful) that girls have developed more so than guys. Yeah I'm a girl too and I do think you got some of the generals right, and agree that it is partly societally influenced. But it also depends so much on the individual people you're with. I have some female friends with whom I'll bullshit and talk about literally every possible random thing cause thats just what we do. But there are others with whom I'll always go deep (no dirty puns intended lol) and talk about genuine, important things with, with much less need for trivial filler. continued..
I think it's a little more complicated than that. As a girl, I appreciate your diplomacy on the matte, and I think you get the generals right. But I would say this has more to do with societal expectations of girls and guys. It seems weird to be introverted as a girl, to not talk whenever there is someone to talk with. I feel like the expectation is different with guys. It's ok to not talk if you don't feel like it. As for the coffee, you'll understand better when you get to college finals. ;)
