It seem there are people that refuse to look at the facts related to the shape of our public schools. Please show me any evidence that they are successful as a whole and I will change my opinion. However, there is a reason that america has the best Colleges in the world but the worst public schools. Colleges are FOR profit and public school are not. But his line early on the speech that "You cannot make men equal without taking away their freedom" is a stance in OPPOSITION to what it means to be a free country, equal under law, with all citizens being endowed with "certain inalienable rights" as spelled out inthe Constitution and Bill of Rights. So, in my mind, his entire presentation must be looked at with great suspicion.

It seem there are people that refuse to look at the facts related to the shape of our public schools. Please show me any evidence that they are successful as a whole and I will change my opinion. However, there is a reason that america has the best Colleges in the world but the worst public schools. Colleges are FOR profit and public school are not. If the public schools had to compete for students, and therefore funding, there would be a dynamic change in the quality and cost of education.

eshnish- I should have been more clear. I have read the Constitution. I agree property redistribution is not equal treatment, presuming that property was gained in a lawful manner. Men should not be 'made' equal by the govt. But they should be treated equally within the law. What Horowitz's statements leave unclear to me is whether he believes human rights should be trampled in the name of security. At base, does he believe all humans are created equal? That is what I question.

Horowitz' address may or may not in most of its facts be truthful. But his line early on the speech that "You cannot make men equal without taking away their freedom" is a stance in OPPOSITION to what it means to be a free country, equal under law, with all citizens being endowed with "certain inalienable rights" as spelled out inthe Constitution and Bill of Rights. So, in my mind, his entire presentation must be looked at with great suspicion.

@bensalemite Maybe you haven't actually read the Preamble to the Constitution. Men are 'created' equal; what happens to them after that can be defined by their liberties, their properties, and justice for all applied blindly under the law. What Horowitz is referring to is something so ingrained in leftist thinking and, by extension, every schoolkid in the U.S. is the attempt to make people's outcomes equal, by taking property from some and giving it to others. France has 'egalite', not us.

@bensalemite Our “unalienable Rights” are spelled out in the Declaration of Independence. Our Constitution only protects these Rights from the tyranny of government. A deeper understanding of these Rights materializes through the prism of science (see my channel video). In the age of science, we know the Laws of Nature trumps mortals in power; revisiting these Rights will help make this World a better place to live.

One of the things I am enjoying about this speech is his interspersing of the infiltration of the Muslim agenda and of Muslims and their sycophants into positions of power, with the real and proven benefits of vouchers. Both audiences can't help but hear both points.

WOW. Talk about GUTS. Horowitz is fearless. He stands up there at a conference sponsored by the American Conservative Union, and calls out one of the ACU board members, Suhail Khan, as a Muslim Brotherhood collaborator, and Grover Norquist himself as a Muslim Brotherhood tool. Right there on their own turf, Horowitz calls them out! David Horowitz is a true hero.

I'm just an independent thinker chiming in here. I liked Mitch Daniels and Ron Paul at CPAC this past weekend, but I found this guy to be kinda paranoid. Muslims and Christians and non-religious people in Egypt this past week protected each other while the other group prayed peacefully. Just to be clear here, the Egyptian uprising was a secular movement about freedom, civil liberties, democracy and human rights and not an Islamist uprising. This guy is distorting reality and that's the truth.

@eshnish The MB in Egypt is reported to represent only about 20% of the electorate there. And in Egypt the extreme factions of the MB (their version of the Tea Party idiots) broke off long ago, leaving the MB as a mix of religious and secular people. I know because I'm familiar with Egypt and have ties there. Horowitz paints a terribly distorted view here even if people just swallow it whole without checking for facts.

They are a banned party, so the fact that they hold a smattering of seats in the Egyptian Parliament is not indicative of any percentage of support. Most Egyptians want stoning for adulterers. Should this make us feel better that there are a few college-educated (excluding Al-Azhar, here) people?

@SpySlowhands CPAC is an annual event, scheduled far in advance of the Egyptian uprising. CPAC is full of conservative minded people expressing information related to their areas of expertise. For you to conclude that the aim of Horowitz's message was to cast Egypt's turmoil as an Islamist uprising is ridiculous.
