This isn't a bad Frank Spencer, as they go - I've heard some awful ones. Mike Yarwood, for all his amazing talent, easily did the worst ever Frank Spencer impression.
i used to listen to the barron knights on the radio..i was 16 and laughing my head off..my father thought i couldnt appreciate the comedy of it..until one night 4 years later i got up at my cousins wedding and did some comedy impressions. the place was in uproar. i had been doing stand up comedy / impressions for 3 years..my father was gobsmakcked.!!!...he never knew his son had such a talent.. my favourite impression at the time was in fact..frank spencer...now it`s johnny vegas.
I remember hearing this played on the radio in 1974 but I only found out it was by the Barron Knights a few years ago & managed to find a copy of the single!

"I think we should do a song about Frank Spencer, any ideas?"
"Yes, lets make it with a bloke that does the worst Frank Spencer impression on the planet, oh and make sure the lyrics aren't funny."

I listened to this as a child, my dad had it on one of their greatest hits LP's. I love it!

Never heard this, but it remembers me at Black Adder (same style, but without the explosion at 0:55)
