I am only 18 so I was not around to experience the soviet war in Afghanistan. I am well aware of the US and Pakistani funding of the mujahedeen, and with the benefit of hindsight I think that funding such a group was a mistake on the United States side. Also I think it was a mistake to not invest in Afghan infrastructure after the soviet intervention. As a member of the armed forces I am not scared of the Taliban, They are like children with guns. I am only 18 so I was not around to experience the soviet war in Afghanistan. I am well aware of the US and Pakistani funding of the mujahedeen, and with the benefit of hindsight I think that funding such a group was a mistake on the United States side. Also I think it was a mistake to not invest in Afghan infrastructure after the soviet intervention. As a member of the armed forces I am not scared of the Taliban, They are like children with guns. They dont know what they are doing.

IF that is really the case, WHY would Mullah Omar need to ask the UN on how to handle a terrorist? Why would he not arrest him and willfully turn over a criminal or punish Osama himself? Especially when a lesser crime, like infidelity, is dealt with quickly and severely?
Perhaps it is a list of principles and fundamentals, allegedly based on religion, that caused the attack to begin with. We won't be peaceful with someone that wants to kill us or take our freedom.
