No offense but I find this hard to believe. Simliar to several other Burnout 3 videos on Youtube, I want to see the player perform such a large task of takedowns from starting the game up. Almost every vid shows the person with the cam walk in on the player with a high number of takedowns already on screen. And honestly for myself, I wasn't the best at this but my highest was 63 takedowns on the Dockside (Northbound) map using the Super Type 1 racecar on the Original Xbox.

My record is 72 on silverlake southbound. Still the best racing map in the game. I think that they should make another burnout and bring back all the old tracks. They could also have a free roam mode too. Imagine that Burnout 3 with all its greatness with the best of the rest of the series and the free roam engine of Burnout Paradise but the Crash Nav in Burnout 3. I think they would make tons of money and I would play that everyday.

fully agree with you guys, being silver lake southbound the best place to get high amount of takedowns. my personal best is much lower than yours, my best is 55 takedowns in silver lake southbound too and i made it with the classic hotrod. my 2nd best track for takedowns? it's island paradise northbound. record? 44. car? again, classic hotrod. not my favorite car, but it really kicks ass!

Hey AddictionToFiction,

It is called the "takedown cam," or something like that, and you can turn it on or off in the options or settings menu. I find the takedown cam is deadly, often sending you straight into traffic or a wall, so I turned it off. It is pretty funny sometimes though. I can give you specific instructions for turning it off if you want, but check it out and you should find it for yourself. Peace...

my record is 228, but I remember the first time I got to 30 I was so happy. Then I got to 50 and thought I was the Burnout King. Then along came one day where I wasnt paying attention and got to 90. I couldnt believe it. Then I stayed there for a little while and got my records going from 90 as top to about 60 as bottom. Then came the big 100. Now my lowest score on the highscore boards is 183, and the rest up to 228. Just for this reason I think this game is one of the best ever made

Timeout is 40 minutes. While messing around in some glitches online I once passed the finish line right as it timed out and got a total time of 40:00:00.

The only time I go for tons of takedowns is when I'm unlocking a Euro and I am left with getting to 2000 in a hurry :)

This was done on Xbox, and no, we don't have Action Replay. Somebody once asked me about it before and I had to look it up because I didn't know what it was. It just takes time to develop a method that works.
